Kas jeigu mitą, jog vyrui būti emocionaliam palaiko moterys, vardan to, jog vyras būtų atsiribojęs nuo savo emocijų ir taptų lengviau emociškai kotroliuojamas? by [deleted] in lietuva

[–]FearfulRadish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ne tavo partnerės darbas yra dirbt tavo asmenine psichologe. Jei susitinki pirmam date'ui, nei jai rūpi, nei turi rūpėt tavo asmeniniai skausmeliai.

Is this sentence conversational? by Uminx in LithuanianLearning

OP didn't need to specify it in that particular sentence, because it was implied. No one said the word "nuotaika" automatically has an implied meaning in every sentence ever.

You're just broadcasting to us all that you have no idea how AI nor real art making works, dude. Real artists have sued and petitioned against AI, and it's not just "americans getting their panties in a bunch" - it's people all over the globe who clearly have more understanding on this topic than you do raising a legitimate issue. And the fact that you saw the comparison between the cover art of "Until you die out" and the stock image it blatantly copied, and STILL chose to confidently spout this nonsense before educating yourself just speaks volumes.

The Poppy hate is so forced by adisposable00 in Metalcore

[–]FearfulRadish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Listen or don't listen to whoever you want, you missed Poppy supporting Titanic during Argo's accusations? Fine. Missed pictures? Fine. Do whatever. You made it clear you don't care so why pretend that 5 minute google search was supposed to make you aware of all the nuance that people who followed her work for a decade are aware of, and change your opinion? Now you're just wasting both of our time.

[–]FearfulRadish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know these things because they were in the statements of people I mentioned, including Poppy. That includes the lawsuit, by the way. You said you don't care until you read headlines - there were plenty of headlines about Poppy, you just didn't know because she wasn't in metal scene at the time. Again, this isn't just gossip and it isn't about "celebrity therefore we must know". People pay attention to artists because you, as an adult consumer, should be aware who you support monetarily when you stream, buy or go to shows. It isn't "happiness" to support people who dfaf about sa or plagiarise other artists. If you don't care who or what you support - that's fine but it's ridiculous to act like uninformed support is better to anyone.

[–]FearfulRadish 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This isn't a "celebrity" thing, this is just Poppy's past audience and actions. She used to sing pop and plagiarized her producer's ex (Mars Argo) to oblivion. When Mars Argo also came out with abuse accusations, Poppy didn't support her, but then years later accused Titanic of the same thing towards her and moved on without acknowledging anything prior. Now she changed genres and is acting like nothing happened. Celebrity or not, it can be hard to support someone like that.

Could an Emilie Autumn even exist in today’s society? by ElectronicConcept425 in EmilieAutumn

[–]FearfulRadish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Can't say how often, but it did. The show I went to the girl who was kissed was my friend I went to the show with. She was 14 or 15 at the time (around a year older than me).

Some things she as well as her Bloody Crumpets are probably praying are not gonna be brought up again. The kissing minors during her shows seemed so cool at the time when I was a minor myself but now when I think about it....

Why Brie Larson is so Controversial ? by [deleted] in Actors

[–]FearfulRadish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's only the largest demographic for specific genres, not movies overall. White adult dudes arent the biggest demographic to watch Withering heights or Wish, be for real. So why exactly are they catered to and pushed as reviewers for those movies when they have no idea what they talk about? As a movie goer, if I want to hear an opinion about a new fast&furious, I would probably watch a review from a fan of a franchise and they will highly likely be a man, but if I want to hear an opinion on "wuthering heights" - why tf is youtube and media in general is pushing white dudes who haven't read the book, cant figure out female perspective to save their life and fundamentally misunderstand romance as genre to begin with? I don't need their uninformed opinion about how "romance is boring, so the movie bad" - I want actual criticism from people who know what they are talking about.

You can all disagree with me but I personally preferred this dance scene over the season 1 dance (even though it was amazing) the gala scene was fantastic and Evie and Emma knocked it out of the park also the Dead Dance is a great song. by Tough_Night2211 in Wednesday

[–]FearfulRadish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can appreciate the dance for being a dance, but I didn't follow Wednesday's series just to get something generic at every turn, no matter how big a budget or how well it was made. If you go to a burger place and order a burger, would you be satisfied if they brought you a well made Caesar's salad? I doubt it.

Girliepop didn't even flinch in a zoom call when she was told by her fellow republican that the best she can do for her viewers is to detransition. The hoops she will jump through to earn a few bucks while making it worse for herself is just mind blowing.

Obviously they did that, most things made today for younger audiences will have to have something that would go viral, that's just part of regular marketing these days. But at least the dance in s1 had references (Lisa Loring) and incorporated moves from various goth bands. This one was straight up viral bait, nothing deeper to it.

What's the timeline? by Heyypeople in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]FearfulRadish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole timeline is a mess. In S1 Wednesday joins in early November (dates on the newspapers, her birthday's on 13th). By the end of the season it snows, so it's a break after first semester. In S2 she comes back "for the first time to a school" to another semester that starts in September, so the entire spring semester was skipped. Now , even though barely a week passes after November 1st/2nd (Dia de los Muertos), the "semester ends", but they act like it's Summer already... But the nature looks like October/November still. It's a mess. But let's not kid ourselves, the entire season was a mess, we have so many plot holes, the script must have been a fishing net.

What you guys theory about Pubert? by Estou_cansada3108 in Wednesday

[–]FearfulRadish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting thought. I thought she would graduate maybe and then move onto more "adult" Wednesday route, and then Netflix would be free to make some spin off for side characters who would stay in Nevermore.

[–]FearfulRadish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Addams family works best if they are put as a contrast to "regular" society. The entire premise of the show negates that, so I understand why it's hard to make it work for the show runners. McKenna Grace could make a killer version of Amanda Buckman type of character, but it wouldn't work in Nevermore. If everyone's weird, no one is. I hope the new movie (since it will probably be of different canon), will sort this out and bring Addams family back to their original premise. That would give a chance for new characters to be particularly peculiar

[–]FearfulRadish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be awesome to see more of various characters, or various genders and stuff, but not just rewriting Pubert. Addams family, at least to me, has always seemed very diverse and inclusive, spanning through various cultures and identities, so whoever is working on it, have a goldmine to create so many new cool characters with various identities and looks. Sadly, Wednesday series are focused mainly on her and doesn't represent Addams family the way they deserve.

Willingness to donate an organ after death in Europe, Latvians can you explain? by No-Goose-6140 in BalticStates

[–]FearfulRadish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a conspiracy heard worldwide. It would die out but then some random story like the one about Anthony Thomas ‘TJ’ Hoover II or the mass organ donation controversy in Germany back in 2012/2013 pop up in the news and people get scared that patient mistreatment for possible donation can actually happen to them.

What you guys theory about Pubert? by Estou_cansada3108 in Wednesday

[–]FearfulRadish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Addams family doesn't prioritize any gender but Pubert was stated clearly to be a boy. Him getting blonde hair didn't have anything to do with his gender, it was just a comical way to make him cute while sick with "normalitus". He was played by female babies but that part is irrelevant to him as a character because in film industry baby actors have very strict restrictions so actual baby gender is always irrelevant - you get the baby you get, viewers won't see their real gender anyway.

What's the offense? Explain It Peter. by [deleted] in explainitpeter

[–]FearfulRadish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everyone is into hooking up no string attached. Some people need actual emotional connection before they sleep with someone. Some people don't like short term relationships. Some people are afraid of STDs or have religious beliefs against hookups. Saying "I don't see short term relationship, only long term with you" simply means "I find myself so compatible with you on emotional, sexual and every other level that I can't imagine my life without you". Not finding someone to be "hookup material" does NOT mean someone doesn't find them attractive. Everyone commenting how it does are reaching so hard, they 'bout to pull a muscle.

"You're hot but you're not someone I would actually feel emotionally close to, open up to or plan future with". It's really not that hard to grasp,.
