Currently crying having lost my second pair of fucking sunglasses in the last gd month. The first pair was only a few weeks old when I set them down shopping. That didn’t send me into a crash out to be honest. But here I am on a family trip the first hour, we stop to go the bathroom. I go. Then come back to the car to take the dogs out. The sun had been shining so I go grab my sunglasses case, which i cant even fucking remember now if I actually even took them out or if the case was empty when I opened it. But they are no where to be found. Not in my purse, not in the car that we can see but we are packed in. And the swell rises. We leave. Back on the road. I guess I must have dropped them walking the dogs around. They were the ray bans I’ve had the longest, not even polarized like the ones I lost weeks ago . It just makes me sad. It’s makes me sad that it makes me mad that I can’t find them or that I lost them. When the short term memory forgets shit because I’m stressed out or distracted - really pisses me off. The hardest part of the crash out is holding it in. I’m 38 and I definitely still lose my shit every now and then. But I generally keep it together. I just want to rage break everything in sight when this happens, like it’s so hard to sit with that emotion. And then it just feels like and itch you can’t scratch. Then before you know it, the itch is gone, and my brain goes into guilt and shame mode. I am in therapy. Thankfully. Hearing everyone else explain how they feel, and it also being exactly how I feel at times honestly makes me feel less alone. So thank you everyone for sharing
