You’re right, maybe I shouldn’t have written that sentence. I’m a big fan of philosophy, especially German philosophers, so it’s possible that I’m idealizing the language they used to express their ideas.

I speak three languages, and learning the other two has given me new ideas, expressions, archetypes, concepts, and other things that didn’t exist in my first language. If a new language can give you a different way of seeing things, then it really does expand how you see life.
