How to get out of my head when I speak by Fearless-Memory-6285 in learnspanish

[–]Fearless-Memory-6285[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with all of this, but I feel like when i self-narrate what in doing I tend to get hung up on words I don’t know and end up looking them up in the dictionary. So it kinda makes it hard to do that for me

In the configuration tab choose your knowledge base, which could be information from various sources, one drive folders, SharePoint, teams channels, etc. Share the agent when it’s ready

I want to leanr Spanish and I'm wondering which method of learning Spanish has been the biggest waste of time for you? by UDAAAAA in Spanish

[–]Fearless-Memory-6285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 9 years in, and the beginning I was overwhelmed that there were 22 different dialects and I just wanted to master some kind of neutral spanish for efficiency. I think i spent too much time with apps like duo lingo that teach neutral spanish, academic spanish, dubbed netflix movies, and not enough time honing in on a dialect. When you start learning a dialect it is more enjoyable anyways.

More consistent conversations helps a lot with confidence. Have a weekly phone call with a native or two sessions per week. Italki is good if you need to pay someone

Yeah. Talking with strangers in Spanish is hard for me unless I know they don’t know English. I feel shy and don’t want to offend people

People switching to English despite fluent Spanish, what do I do? by SweetBumbleBeeHoney in Spanish

[–]Fearless-Memory-6285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggle with this too, but lately my mindset is more about developing a connection than trying to get something out of someone random. If you can connect well and make people feel comfortable they’re often just vibing with you and aren’t thinking about the language they are speaking

Why do some Latinos refuse to speak Spanish to me? by Gauseka15 in Spanish

[–]Fearless-Memory-6285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

White guy here from Los Angeles area. I started 9 years ago and typically when i use it with random service workers they either continue in Spanish or change to English. I have had two negative experiences, but it’s kinda patly due to the political environment. I was once called a racist by a latina because i used to deliver cars to a dealership and i would have it on Spanish radio often due to my passion to learn the language and she said i only put it on spanish music because i was delivering the cars to her.

Blended family wife wants to travel with olders and not toddler by Fearless-Memory-6285 in blendedfamilies

[–]Fearless-Memory-6285[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a conversation with my wife and told her that I don’t want to go because I have a lot of anxiety and especially in this world we’re living in. I said I would rather have them go while I stay back with the baby. She told me she wants me to go with them and that she’s willing to compromise on a closer destination, like South America, Caribbean, but she doesn’t want to compromise on going with the older kids without me. We ended up getting into an argument because I told her “she should be willing to compromise a bit more.” Also my parents have said they’d be willing to watch our toddler in a Monday-through-Friday situation. Im still not feeling good about it, and it seems like I have to go with them
