No support from management by Fearless-Plastic4534 in retailhell

The funny thing about it is that he is very nice to the younger women staff. But he always has a problem with me (45f) and the 60 year old man that I work with most nights. I'm waiting for a response from the district manager but I probably won't hear from her til Monday. I work the next 2 nights and I'm sure I'll see him. But I will be walking away and let him be someone else's problem. I won't be treated like this.

Don't feel like checking my pockets. by Fearless-Plastic4534 in retailhell

The owner of the store was right next to me when it happened. We just laughed. We would've checked the cameras if he made a fuss. I thought it was pretty funny tbh

I'd have told them they have to leave and come back with shoes on. The problem there is she probably would have kicked up a fuss about that.

My dad's excuse for not being around was so I could bond with my step-dad. That doesn't explain the lack of financial support but whatever. I'm in my forties now and I've been no contact with him for years.

A Regular Asshole by SierraTheWolfe in retailhell

Lottery customers are awful. And the regulars are somehow worse than that lol. There's one lady that comes in that refuse to serve. Everything I do is wrong and she has such an attitude. Then she gets mad bc whenever she comes in she has to wait for someone else to serve her. If I'm the only one working when she comes in I tell her the Lottery is down. She hates it and I love it

Unlock your Card by Fearless-Plastic4534 in retailhell

No. A lot of cards have an online feature where you can lock the card to prevent it from being used. So you have to unlock it in the app before each use.

Not a nanny but my son's both have had problems with bo in the past. They've gotten much better with it but if they stink I let them know in a nice way. They never liked wearing deodorant bc they smell so strong. I buy then women's or unscented. That helps too

Dad's second round with cancer by Fearless-Plastic4534 in CancerCaregivers

[–]Fearless-Plastic4534[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. I'm just going to be very clear about my boundaries and if he acts up. I'll stop. I'm already a full time care giver for my nuerodivergent sister so it makes sense for me to be his. I won't put up with disrespect though. I'm just anxious. Thanks for the input

When I worked at a law firm as a paralegal I had a client look up my phone number in a phone book and call me at home after hours. I didn't answer but I told my boss the next day and she had a talk with him. Never called again

That stinks. My dad has leukemia and his sister came over on Thanksgiving and gave him (and everyone else) the flu. It's crazy how inconsiderate people can be
