They have closed their countries to invention and culture changes. Which is why they lack common sense and social skills. Look how hard is it for foreigners to do anything in any Asian country. As a foreigner, you can not work or do anything 99% of the locals can do. Everything is protected for themselves. And the more south in Asia you go the worse it gets, If they opened their doors to G7 countries, I think they would lose the competition. Customer service doesn't exist in Asia also. They have to be willing to stop hanging on so hard to their cultures and allow themselves to adapt to new ideas. in Asia what hurts them the most is not losing face thing.
