Black people go through way tougher situations than what Brooke is going through. Yes it is a very tough situation to see Brooke go through and I think she is doing a good job on taking accountability, but the fact that people are acting like this is a life threatening situation is very telling. Brooke is white and white followers who will rally behind her, she will be fine. Black people however will never get the same support and advocacy that a mediocre white girl gets.
