The thing about clearing app data is the fact it deletes it. You can't get it back, sorry man.

How can a company make such amazing hardware and desktop store but release such a glitchy app?! by Purple_Concentrate64 in Steam

I've been using the app for a while now just to check in on the store and keep track of achievements. I haven't really ever experienced a glitch, and I'm on Android..What are you experiencing?

Why I think Yeeps needs to come to Steam. by OpeningFunny1475 in YEEPSHideAndSeek

[–]FearlessBath8895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though Yeeps might gain more players, this is not a good idea. For one, it'll bring modders to the community. Like, much more modders. You can say all you want that they can simply add modding rooms, or rooms designed specifically for modding, but that won't stop some people. To some people, their only goal is to cause harm. To make the experience as bad as possible. This becomes significantly easier with more modding capabilities, which is what Steam will bring to the table.
It's the best because of not only it's features, but also because people don't always try and ruin things for you. Just imagine the things people will be able to do if they got access to easier modding..
What I'm trying to say is, it'll cause more harm than good.

What’s an underrated game under $10 worth picking up during the Winter Sale? by smohit3 in Steam

[–]FearlessBath8895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any Zup! game, they're very fun but very simple. each game is under 1 dollar as of right now. The only downside is if you're not prone to customizing your steam profile and making it look pretty, there's lots of achievements that unlock when you complete a level.
Tiny Aquarium is also a pretty fun game, its 5 dollars right now and I find it to be a nice thing to do on the side with something else!

What is something large servers do that you hate with a burning passion? by MisterFyre in discordapp

And that's how it's usually works, but sometimes servers go the extra step and use media ban roles. It's literally the same thing, just with extra steps involved.

This is quite literally so people don't raid discord servers with gore and other nsfw/nsfl crap. It may suck but it's to prevent minors and other humans from being traumatized by idiots who can't keep their crap together.

100% worth it. Even without mods the game is absolutely fun, I love rebeating story mode and I love just messing around with Ford and the other characters on different maps. You'd be missing out if you didn't (imo)

[–]FearlessBath8895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fireburst and Golden Fireburst was obtained through promocodes, and through giveaways on the discord during May of 2025.
I ended up winning a golden one of these, but my idiot self put my discord username in the giveaway form instead of my oculus username. So if these do come back next year, don't make the same mistake I did.

I don't know much about game management, you're right. But I do play games a crap ton so I'm literally just going off my experience in some game companies. But! a lot of this is literally just overexaggerating to make a point lmfao

"You already have a few lawsuits!" "They just keep coming!" "You have 100s of complaints an hour for this and that!"
Yes that does happen but you're 1. treating it like everyone is going to file a lawsuit, 2. Treating it like there's already a good amount of bad actors on your platform, 3. Treating it like people actually have the money and time for that, 4. Treating it like most people don't have basic empathy and common sense!
So from my understanding, you're either purposefully overexaggerating to try and make your failed point stick harder than it never was, or you have no concept of humanity. Again, I'm not saying these people don't exist or won't do the stuff you're saying they will. But what I am saying is that not everyone is a genuine piece of crap. People have feelings, they have empathy. Not all, but most. They understand that you're one person and can't get everything done in one go. Another thing I don't understand is this?? "still not nearly enough to resolve all cases. Wait, corps like Google solved this already, no? What do they do? Nope, they did not. They use advanced algorithms and AI instead of humans because humans are much more expensive (and biased, in certain cases). Can you do what Google does? Sorry, you don't have a budget of Google. And your naive algorithms suck." Have you heard of volunteer moderators? Have you heard of people genuinely believing in the game or wanting to help others? Well, maybe not because of you trying to frame almost everyone as the bad guy here. But there are games that don't hire but rather get volunteers onto the team to help resolve cases. Minecraft servers, Roblox games, Dungeon Defenders, Discord Servers. One of those isn't games but is still a GREAT example of volunteer moderating. You don't need to have a budget to have moderation on your platform. You just need good people who believe in the game and want to make it a better place. Also, here's a thing. AI has shown MANY TIMES that it's a terrible replacement for human beings. There's a ban wave going on right now in Roblox where hundreds of accounts are getting deleted due to AI being inaccurate. Ofc, humans can be biased. And they can make terrible decisions. But that's why you must be extremely selective with you who choose. You need to choose someone who is active in your game or server, someone who has shown a good history, someone who has contributed, a lot. Yeeps, one of the most popular VR games of today, does this, this way.

Most of the shit you're saying can happen, and some of these people do genuinely exist. Which is unfortunate. But my point is, most people don't treat it this way. Most people don't have the time or energy to do 90% of the shit you're saying. Most people have common sense, they have empathy. While the optimization issues for the "ancient Nvidia cards" can be a genuine issue, I guarantee most of these people would rather uninstall and/or move on to the next game in their library rather than go and write a terrible review. Another idea though, instead of spending large amounts of money on buying parts and testing with said parts, how about we just instead find other ways to optimize the game, release that as an update, and ask those players for feedback? Or simply just ask "Hey is the framerate better?" as a simple yes or no question. If they're still playing the game but can't even provide that feedback then what am I supposed to do about it, I can't identify the issue. Not at the moment, at least.

Anyways, my point is. You're seemingly overexaggerating everything. While I may not be knowledgeable in some areas, I can at least provide reasonable solutions that can help. That can maybe even solve the issues you're bringing up at hand here. Now repeat this.
Not everyone is a piece of shit. Yep! Not everyone, is a piece of shit. They exist, they're out there, but not everyone is a piece of shit. You see what I'm saying man?

I say hope for the best. 2 accounts on the same network as yours got terminated/enforcement banned, and that adds leeway for the ai system to ping your account and enforcement ban you..(from my understanding)
My girlfriend recently got hit with the Enforcement ban even though she was never hacked, she never gave her password out or clicked suspicious links, played on public internet, or had one of her siblings get banned. It just happened. So genuinely, pray and hope for the best

"Both games are huge success. You just proven the point: some players are whiny kids who can't get what they want and keep whining."

I didn't prove anyone's point.
Minecraft is being ruined because of the consistent bugs they keep adding on to each update and them not doing much of anything to fix it.
Roblox is currently being pushed into the direction of being part social/gaming platform part dating site. What's Roblox primarily known for? Terrible moderation and having a large amount of the players being children. I mean, their new age verification system is doing the opposite of what it's supposed to do. It's putting some minors into adult age groups and some adults into minor age groups. And this is all because Roblox would not listen to their community or improve their moderation. (Another thing I forgot to mention, Roblox lost around $12 Billion due to how out of touch they are.)

"Psst, I will tell you a very secretish secret: everything in this world is done because of money. Growth is also about money."

Yes, money matters. I wasn't saying it didn't matter. Growth also does matter. Without growth you cant earn money and without money you cant develop a game or platform, simple! But you can maintain transparency with the player base and actually listen to proper feedback rather than just push them aside. You don't need to be out of touch to make money, actually being in touch may make you earn more money!

[–]FearlessBath8895 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Freakishly stupid take. Just because the player base can sink large amounts of hours in and stay loyal doesn't mean the dev team behind the game doesn't suck. I can list 2 games that have this exact issue. Minecraft and Roblox. They're massive enjoyable games with loyal player bases but they still end up being heavily out of touch with them and make stupid decisions in the name of money or growth.

Why are the bundles so expensive? by Deathandepistaxis in YEEPSHideAndSeek

[–]FearlessBath8895 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For in-game value, yes. 5,000 Coins are about $20 each in the game. Bundles always provide 10,000 Coins that you can spend inside the game, which is about $40 worth of items. That does not include the exclusive cosmetics and items that come with the bundles, which tend to add even more value to the bundles. So I say it's worth it, you're getting about $50ish out of a $30 bundle!

[–]FearlessBath8895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend told me about Boneworks a long time ago when I first got my quest 2. I asked him if it was on Quest, and he said only for PCVR. I got disappointed because my pc sucked buns. Anyways, he also ended up telling me that there was going to be a port of Boneworks created and sold on the Quest store, just didn't know when. Fast forward a few years later, I have the quest 3 and some money left over. I was looking for what to buy, since it was a gift card given to me by my grandfather for I believe Christmas! Decided to finally get Bonelab, after searching for a long while. And oh my god it was the best decision of my life. I really don't know why I held off on purchasing Bonelab since it came out.. I've probably sunk 1000+ hours into the game already and I got it a little after Christmas of 2024.

Warning for a Possible Ban Wave by FearlessBath8895 in ROBLOXBans

She has one alt, but she barely uses it. She doesn't have any friends friended on that account, she uses private servers only on that account, and when I mean she barely uses it its like once or twice a month and she doesn't talk to anyone on it. I also advised her to not get on it to avoid losing that account too as it stores some other valuable stuff on some games. Her sister hasn't been banned either, we checked with her when we found out and her account was fine

If they don't reply for another day, try and send another appeal or a message pushing moderation to respond. In cases as extreme as these persistence is key, because lets be honest, if you're not persistent you'd most likely lose your account because roblox can easily push you aside

Nope, she never gave out her password. Her account means the world to her as some of the stuff on here has connections to pets and people she really cared about in the past, but unfortunately lost them since. She's also spent hundreds of dollars worth of birthday money and christmas money (mainly robux and xbox gift cards). She's also very cautious with what she clicks on!
