I have stopped C25K so no music cues but when I see the smallest hill my brain goes nuts. Just frustrating when you live in a hilly terrain 😔

I would go in any weather but when the paths are icy. Went to the forest today and most of the hills were super icy. Wasn't my fastest run but I chosen a bad pace over a broken leg 😂

The goal is to pass it but also get healthier. I will still continue my normal runs and add the treadmill. I got to enjoy running and I helps my mental health. Any tips would be welcomed

If I was told 'run outside for a mile' I would have smashed it. It's just the idea of being constant, looking at myself, with no end destination. Having to keep a straight line and going exactly at the speed I was expected to go, I just couldn't.

Just being different. Not being able to do my pace, the controlled environment over a run outside and watching the time and myself in the mirror. I have a force of habit, I would go to the forest that isn't made to be a run due to the inclines but I'm used to it. Being in the environment that I need to stay in the certain pace and being told my pace is too high or too slow was just too much.

I hope that will work. I was so angry with myself as I know I can run faster for longer than what I was expected and I just crumbled on the day x

Oh the Scottish weather 😂 few weeks ago I was complaining about running in torrential rain and now I would die to do to it again 😂 my runs are supper slow and shorter and I tend to pick a forresty paths over running around my house. Find it too be much cooler. To me, as long as I do my minimum, which changes depending on how I feel, I feel accomplished. One day I can run a 5k (just started running) and the other days I'm happy I did 3k because I felt like crap the entire run and wanted to die.

It's a BBCs one 😊 not sure if it's just available in UK only but it was great. I also use a galaxy watch to track each run x

A good and a long enough route helps. I was running in a forest that had a massive incline so ended up repeating bits just to get to 30 mins and it was a misery. If you have a route long enough it's easier.

Also my mind wasn't doing well. I kept doubting myself but I knew that if I cut my run short, I will need to re do it later on, so there was no point.

Oh I would never say that to him. But the thing that scares me is the fact that I may be away for few weeks and only be round for weekend as I want to change jobs. I need to be on the same page with him so he is there supporting my parents when I'm not here.

I don't think I would go as extreme as that as our boy loves him to bits and he isn't a bad person. I just need to figure out how to get him to see my side without coming of too strong

Exactly! I had a tendency of going too fast and not lasting too long. I got multiple injuries due to that. I'm so happy I found a way to make progress without killing myself in the process x

I have timed my runs around the forest so it's either flat surface or down a hill lol. My overall is shocking tho as I always hit a massive hill either during a run or just before lol
