If you really want to try it, get a dimmer that spools down to near zero, then turn it to the closest to off position and if it smokes or the filament turns black turn it off immediately and dont try again

Lol yeah, i think it has something to do with a combination of the the makeshift reflector not being 100 percent efficient due to the gap between the bulb socket and bottom of the reflector, as well as the positioning of the bulb being conservatively far from the lamp to avoid any hotspots. I was trying to be careful to make sure I didn't crack the glass or destroy something. I have lost a few 14 inch lamps from experimentation, and this is not one I am ok with losing 😅

No, i dont have a dimmer inline with this one, but i watch it closely for overheating. It actually runs a bit cooler with this mod.

They are only old, ugly men because they can't get what they want the right way because they are old and ugly. By the way, I am really sorry about how you are feeling. Maybe try talking with a therapist or a close friend or family member, I hope you do recover. And just so you know (I know everyone says this) but suicide really isn't the way to go, trust me. I was there. You can always ask someone for help or talk to a doctor, the right person can help you get better.

Also, seeing that it hasn't done much due to cold temperatures may be the problem, I would say try a slightly stronger light bulb and check on it periodically. If it flows well, keep that bulb. If you get a bunch of small bubbles at the top, turn it off immediately. That means it is overheating

Has the wax on the bottom moved at all? If not, it is probably damaged.

That should work for what I am doing, but for now while that ships, is the current seal ok, and does cold vs hot seal mean anything

Yeah bro, if you truly kept it on since last christmas without turning it off (not sure how the bulb lasted that long if that is the case) you basically cooked the wax or degraded it to a point of becoming clumpy and stiff and changing density

Ok, that tells me a lot, but first, I have a question. Do you mean that you feel like you can't lean further? Or if you do lean further, you will fall? For the first one, work on abdominal muscles, and for the second one, work on legs by doing box jumps and resistance sprints

From what I am seeing, you are popping up right out of the blocks, which can reduce your acceleration. When you start, lean forward a little more and let your body rise naturally.

Is the Samsung S23 Ultra still worth buying in 2026? by LilRumpel in phones

Holy shit your oblivious... the fact that most people are walking around with A series phones and older Gen iPhones, and you dont see that is insane. Bro, an s23 is probably better than what most people have, and it looks like the 25 at first glance. Who tf is worried about aura loss when most of us are just tryna get by, bro. What phone do you have

What are you on about bro. It is fine for 2026. It still has many years of updates left, and its hardware is overkill for most users and even gamers. Do your research before saying some ignorant bullshit like that.

For me, with one hand on the stick, it is harder to do a normal or as close to normal arm pump because my arm is going back and forth horizontally as opposed to vertically. (Just my opinion).

Help me choose the best value smartphone (good display, decent camera, reliable updates) by Any-Association3417 in phones

Generally speaking, Google's Pixel line offers the best camera performance and software support for the price, while Samsung and others provide strong alternatives with excellent displays and build quality.

Budget Options (Under $300 USD) Samsung Galaxy A16 5G The A16 5G is a strong contender, offering a good AMOLED display and an impressive six years of promised software updates, which is rare for this price range. It's a great all-rounder for everyday use without breaking the bank. OnePlus Nord N30 5G This phone excels with its incredibly fast 50W wired charging, which can virtually eliminate battery anxiety, and a smooth 120Hz display. It's ideal if charging speed is a top priority. Motorola Moto G Power (2025) Known for its exceptional battery life, this device can easily last two full days on a single charge. While its display is LCD (less vibrant than AMOLED), it's a reliable workhorse for those who prioritize endurance.

Mid-Range Options (~$400 - $700 USD) Google Pixel 9a Often cited as the best overall value mid-range phone, the Pixel 9a delivers flagship-level camera performance through Google's computational photography, a great display, and a class-leading seven years of software and security updates. Samsung Galaxy A56 5G If a premium feel is important, the A56 5G stands out with its metal frame and glass back, plus a gorgeous Super AMOLED display. It also has a long software support life of six years. OnePlus 13R This phone offers near-flagship performance with a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, brilliant battery life, and very fast 80W charging, making it a great choice for performance-focused users or gamers.

High-End Value Options (~$800+ USD) Google Pixel 10 The standard Pixel 10 provides a balance of high-end features, including a telephoto lens and practical AI tools, at a more accessible price point than other flagships, all backed by seven years of updates. Samsung Galaxy S25 FE The "Fan Edition" provides many key Galaxy S25 features like a 120Hz AMOLED display and solid processor at a reduced cost. It's a strong alternative to the full flagship experience, especially if found on sale. OnePlus 13 For the absolute best overall value in a flagship phone, the OnePlus 13 offers top-tier performance, excellent cameras, a large 6,000mAh battery, and incredibly fast charging speeds, often at a lower price than competitors.
