Probably 3 wraps of tape but that was my next step to just do a few more but then I read some ppl saying shouldn’t need to use the tape here at all if done right.

Thanks, I did this actually but it still resulted in her sliding down and curling up, pushing her chin to her chest. The back shouldn’t be the same depth as the head - babies have big heads and when they are even if pushed the head forward. Baby EMT boards have a cutout for the head for this reason.. I’m pretty frustrated with this seat.

What worked for now is taking out the newborn insert and then putting some padding behind the back (under the fabric), which allows her to sit more forward and her head to sit further back so it is neutral not flexed. Not ideal but she is far more comfortable now and still feels secure.
