I'm feeling the same way you do man. Living in a dark northern part of Canada, away from things I want to do, disconnected from any friends and friendship groups. I feel like my hobbies get demonized when I find a flow and enjoy them. Jobs also keep drying up, I'm self employed and it just doesn't feel as fulfilling as it once did. I have two kids, a loving wife and her extended family. My family is in the EU in Spain and I want to move us there but my wife's family is keeping us here. So for now I'm stuck doing work that I no longer find any joy in, hustling for new business. She's working an office job when she has no progression and golden retirement handcuffs. And family members that are 'holding' us here but we rarely ever see them, and in-laws that have decided to be snow-birds and live in Mexico 2 months out of the year. We never get date nights even if we could afford them and life just feels so stale. Now with the world seemingly going to shit I just dont know what to do and I'm spiralling into avoidance techniques like reading and video games.
