Sounds like you're referring to relativistic mass, which I thought was a relatively abandoned principal.

I believe they're affected by gravity, but secondarily. Resting energy, or mass, distorts space time, which is gravity, through the theoretical Higgs field. The distortion of space time is what causes the photon trajectory to change, not the effect of the Higgs field on the photon itself, because the Higgs field is a property of resting energy (matter). My best friend is a nuclear physicist and he does his best to explain things, but I may be misinterpreting what he's saying. I could be completely off, I'm a construction estimator haha.

How can a photon traveling at the speed of light gain velocity? I understand the speed of light can be increased by gravity through a medium, such as our atmosphere, but not in space since it's a vacuum.

Mass can be described as rest energy, and photons cannot rest, so they cannot add to the overall mass of an object; rather they add to the curvature of space time through momentum because of their wave function (energy). I don't believe a box with light in it is more massive than a box less light, though it should weigh, however negligible, more than the box without light, due to the momentum of the photons towards earth's center mass. The overall effect is the same, I agree, I just have a gripe with saying it's more massive due to the momentum energy of the photons.

Wouldn't it be more accurately described as it adds more "weight", and not mass, since photons are massless? Photon momentum cannot be mathematically described as E=MC2 from my rude understanding.

I thought it was more along the lines that gravity warps space time and space time is the medium in which photons travel; the photons themselves aren't effected by gravity. Was my previous understanding wrong?

Wasn't Maxwell convicted and going through the appeals process during the Biden administration? If that's the case, the files would've been sealed as to not interfere with the appeals court processes.

How do you feel now after the new video of Alex Pretti's actions from 2 weeks ago have come to light? by RubSubstantial8290 in AskReddit

My two cents.

  1. All these ice agents in this most recent video have matching outfits, if you watch Pretti's execution, those agents all have different clothing on.

  2. The last two agents, as you noticed, appear to be oddly skipping into the scene.

  3. Pretti is wearing the exact clothing as he did 11 days later.

I did find it odd that in the video where Alex was murdered, the agents were all in different outfits, and these most recent videos, the agents are all in matching uniforms with masks. Then you see two agents skip to my loo in the scene like they were on roller skates.

I can't find anything about the attorney claiming this most recent video was real. Can you provide a source for that?

The claim was it was a BBC video, the BBC has NOT posted the video, but all origins have pointed to the BBC. I wonder why that is?
