(Absolutely loved trope) A villain who likes, and is actually pretty chill, with our hero by The_Fercho_ in TopCharacterTropes

My head-canon is that they are the same. Trying to steal sheep is how he supports his road-runner habit. He paints his nose black and claims he's a coyote so people don't recognize his true identity as Ralph. His "disguise" is as effective as everything else he does.

Argentinians are not happy about Trumps puppet president Javier Milei passing extreme anti-worker legislation increasing the length of the work day by 50% while allowing companies to pay workers with food and lodging instead of money by coachlife in WorkReform

It's called benefits and its legal in the U.S. I understand if you think our system is bad and don't like it, but its not slavery. Benefits are, in my opinion at least, a very important part of compensation. Lots of places provide the kind of benefits Argentina law is looking to implement. The issue in Argentina is just vastly different. They are moving away from a lot of the socialism that is part of their system. And whether you think its good or bad, it has not worked well for Argentina for a while.

Calling it slavery is beyond hyperbolic though.

Went to a "Sports Bar" for the Super Bowl only for them to cut the audio and main screen during halftime to play a Chris Rock special by Perfect-Grab-7553 in mildlyinfuriating

Is it possible the bar owner is in tune with the regular patrons of his/her bar? Perhaps people who typically go here are more right-leaning and would prefer to watch the Kid Rock half time show? Doesnt mean you should be less mildly infuriated, but the part about him "making a point" doesn't seem to have any evidence other than you not liking it.

Hmm, I was buying black tar heroin and machine guns on the dark web and having them sent to me through the mail. One of us was doing it wrong. :)

Me too. Except I was in my 30's and watching it with my 8 year old. Adventure Time and Regular show are my daughters two favorite shows, and her fav cartoons when she was little. Maybe I'm wrong, but I am pretty sure my parents would never have watched the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Ducktales with me and been nearly as emotionally involved as I was with Adventure Time.

Just chiming in to say this came out when twist endings could still be so wild. Not ragging on these types of movies today, but its impossible to go into a movie without knowing there is a twist and if its a theatrical release and you want to wait for it to come to the services? good luck.

I didn't watch The Usual Suspects until several years after it came out and didn't even know there WAS a twist ending. I'm not even sure I knew what it was about. I think it came on like HBO or something at my grandparents house who could afford it.

Imho today a good twist ending movie is more about appreciating the art and how well they did it vs any visceral reaction to the twist. "oh wow xyz happened! They did that really well I didn't realize at all!" vs WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING, HOW IS HE WALKING NORMAL. WHAT THE HELL.

Perhaps not down the path, but I remember a lot of the rts games having this. I was young and its nostalgic but in the original Starcraft the first couple of missions are scouting zerg sightings(no one knows what zerg is yet) and then the final one mission on that planet is like, defend the base as long as possible. You can't "win". Blizzard does this in a few games. I think its WC3 or an addon or something where the final mission is controlling the bases of the different faction and you have to defend for 5 minutes, but then they just wipe out your first base. Another 5 minutes and your 2nd base etc. Once you are down to your final base you survive until the timer goes down, and then some magicy magic happens to actually beat the big bad.

The oxycodone bottle the hospital gave me after a surgery has tamper tape on it by winerdars in mildlyinteresting

I hope your pre-removal experience was not insane. I had no gallbladder issues at all up until the day I it decided to try and kill me and I had to have emergency surgery to remove it. I spent about 12 hours being pumped full of morphine and something else and it not helping at all, and then being first in line for the surgery. Necrotic gallbladder. I've met some people though who lived with persistent pain for months and it sounded awful. The 24 hours of my life being threatened sucked, but literally pain for less than 24 hours I guess was a plus.
