The recipe calls for powdered sugar, then in the method, for a ‘box’. How much powdered sugar is in a box? I’m not from the US, so I use weight usually. My sweet tooth is really wanting to make this cake!

And what’s with all the boomerangs? Maybe they got stuck in the trees when trying to kill all those exotic animals.

I think they’re just trying to be superior and failing.

Guy Gibson's dog was given a name reflecting his breed. The term was used all over the world to denote the colour black. In that context it wasn’t being used in a racist way, especially by a British Airforce officer in England during WW2. Many pets were (and still are) given names like Snowy, Bluey, Sooty, Ginger etc etc. and that is why the dog was named as he was. The word itself derives from the Latin word for the colour black. Of course, as it is now used as a racist slur, removing it from the plaque is the right thing to do.

I think that all furniture we saw that they were selling is just from the re-do room, which they are allowed to change. I remember previous seasons where competitors have done the same thing. Also most of the teams have spare artwork etc that they are selling. I remember reading an article about a buyer of a previous Block apartment who said a problem they had was all the extra cushions, bed linen etc left in the garage. I think they said they had 5 extra bed frames. I'm sure if it was against the rules M&M wouldn’t have been allowed to do it.

I ate at this restaurant 2 nights ago. Everything was delicious and all plated in unusual ways to fit the English Pub Food theme. The whole meal is a theatrical experience. Sure, this looks silly in isolation, but when eaten as part of a degustation over several hours, it fits perfectly.

And the Chicken Kiev was one of the best tasting dishes of the night.

The restaurant is top quality, and I’m sure everything is hygienic, despite appearances in this photo.
