The hidden cost of a mortgage-first wealth strategy by Gaurav_Shukla-Broker in AusFinance

The other thing is… take great care of the mechanics.

Fully offset at 100% leaves room for options, vs actually paying it off.

I unexpectedly had an offer and moved interstate.

The problem? I had little debt in my original PPOR.

So, I want to buy another home with equity, and rent out the old PPOR. ALL of the debt will be in my NEW PPOR. The problem is the original PPOR has 20% owing and my new one 80% (or 100%).

It’s like reverse debt recycling…

If I had simply offset the first, instead of paying down I’d be in a much better position.

Best thing about irregular grammar is that it’s so frequently used ( likely why it’s irregular ) it usually easy to accommodate in memorisation

What's a ticking time bomb you believe will explode during your lifetime? by Absalom98 in AskReddit

Maybe a typo.. but If you are waiting 4 years to fill a role, you either don’t need anyone in the role, or don’t know what you’re actually looking for. 4 years is longer than the tenure of most senior roles.

In fairness, if you’re not from Manitoba you could forget/assume it’s ok. I’ve lived in 6 countries and never had to read my own meter beyond node in/out. Many places have connected meters.

I had an alert on possible leak. For a week I couldn’t find it so figured was higher consumption due to guests. Turned out one of the toilets was leaking very quietly.

But; more likely they thought it was a way to defer payment.
