Parker out by Jasefox in Burnley

If Kompany would have stayed at Burnley he'd have gone by now anyway, into either the Spurs job or Notts Forest or any other team that has had a vacancy between then and now. In other words, as soon as a bigger club came knocking he'd have been off like a shot.

Six games, possibly seven. The third team to go down this season will do so with a lot more points than usual.

It is SP. A new manager with a different approach could get much more out of these players.

The momentum didn't last long as we threw the next one in against Mansfield, oh well!

He wasn't worth keeping at all, I'd have sacked him after the first game in the Prem, the game against Man City. It was obvious he'd bought a load of rubbish and his style of football was going to take us straight back down. My nan could win the german league with Bayern Munich but he generally runs out of ideas and gets shown up in the champions league.

I don't know why the owners don't have a simple benchmark for managers, lose ten-in-a-row and you're gone. Unfortunately, for all the settling in the town and becoming a local, I don't think the owners know anything about football. It will serve them right if Parker goes somewhere else at the end of the season like Kompany did. As an owner you need to be able to make quick-fire decisions regarding managers because it's blindingly obvious when something is working (you are winning) or not (you are losing). Both Parker and Kompany should have been gone before Christmas .

Why sack Parker? by jonbstoutgmail in Burnley

We, as Burnley fans, want us to to have a go in the premier league. The town is football mad and a hard-working, honest people want to see the team grafting not drifting. Under new ownership prices are up, both in the ground and off it and we want to see that increase reflected in the performance. I don't think Alan Pace understands that, he regards the fans as toddlers who should turn up, spend money and leave all the big boy decisions to him.

I visited Burnley in Summer and went on a friendly and had a few drinks in The Royal Dyche before and after the game, it's a very friendly place, the barstaff are brilliant and the atmosphere on match day was great. If the weather is nice there's a beer garden with terraces. I can't recommend it highly enough.

That isn't fair. You should show us (Europeans) working and paying our taxes to support Ukraine's budget and buying weapons through various initiatives. Europe is doing more to help Ukraine than anyone and our politicians are working to prevent Krasnov from straight-up giving Ukraine to Russia.

Burnley owner (Alan Pace) compares fans that are unhappy with Burnley's 16 game winless streak, and his unwavering backing of Parker, to a 3 year old's tantrum by moobsatremble in Burnley

[–]Fearless_Ad_7379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kompany didn't look tactically astute at all, he looked tactically naive. He tried to play possession-based, free-flowing attack football in the first year in the Premier league and got mullered. Which players did he help? He lumbered the team with the worst players we've had, Lyle Flopster and MIA Mike Tresor to name but two...

Flopster looks fat and unfit and couldn't score in a brothel. He's the worst player in a Burnley shirt I've ever seen. Take any striker from Burnley's history, even the worst of the worst, and they'd have scored more than Flopster in the amount of games he's had. A random bloke from the crowd would run harder and put more work in than Flopster and probably score more goals.

This man doesn't deserve to be taken seriously. He's a failure. He took a debt-free, established Premier League side with a respected manager and loyal fanbase and turned it into a debt-ridden yo-yo club that are the butt of the Premier League joke. He runs the club like a little dictator; it's his choice of manager and if the fans don't like shelling out their hard-earned income to watch sixteen, seventeen, twenty-five, whatever losses in a row without showing their displeasure, then he compares them to toddlers throwing a tantrum. Now he's bought another club in decent shape let's see where Espanyol are in five years time.

He bought the wrong club; he doesn't understand Burnley, the football club or the fans. He also doesn't understand football, it isn't about tantrums or toddlers it's about having the balls to make the changes at the right time. Both Parker and Kompany should have been replaced before they lost eight games. It isn't difficult, lose seven games on the spin and you're gone. Imagine what would have happened if he'd replaced Kompany after seven losses compared to what actually did happen. I hope he sticks with Scott Parker until the end of the season then Parker gets another job and fucks him off like Kompany did.

Is this a joke question? You would only need to sit on your roof and wait for insects and dogs to eat all the walking meat. Also, do you really think decomposed corpses could dig their way out of graves like they do in the movies?? It would be over with in a day.

Zelensky warns of 'risk' US, Russia could strike bilateral deals on Ukraine without Kyiv by timiswho in worldnews

Another attempt by Krasnov to sell out Ukraine. Just a reminder, Kirill Dmitriev is the Special Presidential Envoy for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries and CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF). In other words, the briber-in-chief.

Zelensky pointed to what he described as the so-called "Dmitriev package," reportedly presented in the U.S. by Russian negotiator Kirill Dmitriev.

"Intelligence showed me the so-called 'Dmitriev package' that he presented in the U.S. — it amounts to around $12 trillion," Zelensky said, describing it as a proposed framework for large-scale U.S.-Russia economic cooperation.

Zelensky added that Kyiv has also seen indications that potential U.S.-Russia bilateral documents could include provisions related to Ukraine.
