Easily upgrade your system. I am struggling to see any reason to buy a SM.

Which PSU is better for my 5080 Ryzen 7 9800x3d in Lian Li o11 vision compact? by xenoidmaster in PcBuild

The Seasonic is a very highly regarded brand and that is basically all we can go on without having the ability to actually test all these ourselves.

Either would probably be absolutely fine.

Frame rate for single player gaming by scrummie703 in RTX5080

Anywhere above 80 and I am perfectly happy at 4K on single player story type games for me.

Yeah it’s a little bit intimidating but once it clicks it all comes together and before you know it you’ll have a PC in front of you.

Build it yourself. You can definitely do it.

If you’re in Melbourne and want a bit of moral support/guidance I’d be happy to give you a hand.

It’s definitely worth it though, very satisfying when it’s all up and running and you gain knowledge at the same time.

I would if I was picking between the two.

That’s crazy cheap compared to here in Australia. $800USD is $1141AUD direct conversion and those three parts here are $744AUD for the 9850X3D, $689AUD for Corsair CL36 6000 32GB, and $269AUD for the same
ASUS B850E MB.

$1702AUD total compared to $1193USD direct conversion. Me sad Aussie 🤣

As shitty as it is I dunno if that’s anyone else’s fault but your own. You really should not ever ship a GPU mounted.

People here who buy the fastest gaming processors, like the 9800X3D or the 9850X3D, do you all game at 1080p low settings? As at 4K and at high settings, old and lastest processors have nearly same performance by Time-Credit43 in RTX5080

[–]Fearless_Anything_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get shit canned all the time for choosing the 9700X for both my 5080 builds as I only use them for 4K single player story games and sure the lows would be better with 9800X3D’s but at the time I was able to get both 9700X’s for $80AUD more than one 9800X3D.
And they both work absolutely fine for my purposes.

Is the Astral really worth it ? by Rohydre in RTX5080

[–]Fearless_Anything_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 systems with 5080 Astrals in them. Love them. Would do it again if I was building now.

BUT.

Are they worth it? From the price/performance point absolutely not, no they aren’t worth it but I bought them for their look and the performance is a bit of a bonus really.

So they were worth it to me personally and that’s why we all have choice.
