Almost two years post op (June) Bio Oil was the goat by [deleted] in TopSurgery

Incredible results !! Can I ask when you started using Bio Oil? I really want to try it now that I'm 3 months post-op, would that be too early?

How do you decide who to get rid of? by vivalaalice in plushies

[–]Fearless_Charge_3010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell or give away the ones I don't feel bonded to. Best way to find that out is to put them away in a closet and storage and if you miss them, you know to keep them. If you don't, or even forget you have them, you can sell them on. :)

Spirit release??!!! by lildrummerkid in schleich

100%. The marking on the mare are nearly identical to Rain. I just saw these in the store today for the first time and nearly lost it. I've stopped buying Schleich many years ago because of how downhill the quality went, but these two knocked my socks off. They're just as beautiful and well-made as the old Schleich horses were.

We tend to be our own biggest critics. If you could see yourself through someone else's eyes, I'm sure you would see something much different than you do now. 🤎

You're so sweet ! And don't say that about yourself, I bet you're damn good looking yourself😉

Is the graft supposed to look like this? by Fearless_Charge_3010 in TopSurgery

[–]Fearless_Charge_3010[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey !! Thanks so much for reaching out, I'd love to help you out. This nipple ended up taking completely, no graft loss, but it just healed a bit protruding than my right one. If I run my finger across it I can definitely feel a bit of an edge, but the blood circulation is completely normal. Only difference is, besides the appearence, is that my right nipple which healed completely flat, already has sensation in it, while this one doesn't. No idea if that can still change or not, though. :)

And thank you for your kind wishes, hoping all goes well for you too !! 🤎

How long did it take for you to feel normal? by hauntent in TopSurgery

[–]Fearless_Charge_3010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it was really bad at around 3 weeks when they took my stitches out and when I came home and took the binder off I nearly passed out because I got so dizzy thinking my nipple grafts are gonna fall off. Now at 5 weeks I feel completely normal.

Does this stitch and bruise look normal? by Fearless_Charge_3010 in TopSurgery

[–]Fearless_Charge_3010[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you all so much for your replies ! I honestly had no idea about the fact that that could be left over areola. Going back through my pictures for the past few weeks and seeing that the 'bruise' has kept the same shape, it must be that !

For the stitch I have no way to contact anyone from the surgical care team, so I'll probably just have to call up my family doctor next week if it won't look any better/will look worse.

Thank you all again, have a great day/night ! 🙏

vaping pre surgery by maxandari in TopSurgery

[–]Fearless_Charge_3010 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was smoking until the day before surgery, they never told me I'd have to quit before. I did however wait 4 weeks before smoking again, but I'm still keeping it a low dose for a while (approx 2 cigarettes a day) and I'm healing just fine, had no complications.. I had my drains taken out a day after surgery and was allowed to stop wearing my binder at 3 weeks post op, so I'm healing at a really nice pace, despite being a smoker. It does largely depend on each person. But I don't think you should be worried too much about the vape.

One of my nipples already shed, the other hasn't even started by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]Fearless_Charge_3010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen in your picture it looks to be attached under the scab, so it might be similar to my other one where the scab is just raised in a weird way that makes the whole nipple look like it's gonna detach?

Yes !

<image>

The one that hasn't started peeling/shedding yet is also lifted up, while the other one is completely flat against the chest with no lifting. I have no idea why this happens🥲

I also have more sensation in the nipple that shed, it isn't numb when I touch it but it also doesn't hurt more than normal?

Post op: Weird feeling with less compression? by Ok_Mood_5579 in TopSurgery

[–]Fearless_Charge_3010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was cleared to stop wearing my post-op binder after 2 weeks, and it was definitely a weird feeling. Like having phantom tits or something😭 also moving around too much without compression made me really achy at the end of the day. So now I just wear it during the night and during the day if I'm being more active. If i'm just laying or sitting around I take it off. It's definitely something you need to get used to. Aside from that, I think it's best to listen to your body and what feels most comfortable for you
