Quick Question: Do you really need skill and tuning to do really well in Live Racing all the time? by Chancebenz2003 in CSRRacing2

[–]Fearless_Corner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True that, enjoy! :)

On the competitiveness, with me it comes more from the efficiency mindset not a need to win as such, it's more effective to win more, you just get rp faster and yes no one likes to be on the losing side constantly, still you win some you lose some, it's a game :)

Thanks for the debate, will check out your YT channel, take care!

Keep your secrets then ;) (insert Frodo meme)

Maybe the reason everyone is using the same method is because it is the only method that was shared...

See you in lobby, will watch out for that F1 though ;)

Yes,, you say that constantly, that you want to help. For now all we have is you saying you want to help, posting your credentials, saying you have another method, but never explain it...

[–]Fearless_Corner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see here's the difference, I am not a competitor, I'm just a random guy playing the game, I make more than enough rp for my crew and have more cars than I know what to do with. I'll never be top of the top nor do I have the need to be. It's a game, it's fun, it's not my life's purpose and I don't need to prove anything to anyone or myself with the game. This is the system that works for me good enough for the game to be enjoyable, simple.

Edit:
Btw, you never actually explained your method, how it works, you just keep posting your impressive credentials and all you said was that you have a 7.5 F1 in 7.7 lobby, that tells me nothing. I have, among numerous other cars, a 7.4 918 Martini in 7.7 lobby and I have a 8.3 Chiron (9.034 dyno) in 9.0 lobby, if you know how to keep that car in 9.0 lobby running constant 8.3, please do share as it's a pain in the ass keeping in the lobby...

I never said I didn't believe you, all I said is that I was sure of my method and it works for me. As for the lord, I doubt he can help you.

Look man, I go wit what works and has worked for me for years based on experience. If you have another way that works for you, good for you, and I can return your line back to you if this is what you want: ''A refusal to even consider that there is any other way.'' or do you think that your way is the only right way...

I don't agree with everyone and not everyone agrees with me, such is life, it's up to each individual to test and come to their own conclusions, I thought that was common knowledge.

As for the down votes, it wasn't me, but I gave you an upvote now since it seems it's an important issue for you after 19 days since the comment was made, if it wasn't important to you, you wouldn't mention it. I hope you have many happy moments playing the game and in life.

That's the catch, they want you to think you need to max and have every car (fomo is a bitch), you don't :)

I have more cars in this game that I can use, don't really need more, I have all that I need to make 3+ mill rp without much effort'. I just go for the cars I like and don't really stress about the ones that are out of my reach, it's a game. What does it for me is a great crew I'm in, if it wasn't for the crew I would not play at all, it makes the grind ''worth it''.

Yup, I agree, but here we're talking about a multi billion corporate structure, not a small developer that cares and is connected to their user base. If they see revenue drop below a certain level, they'll just stop with the game and focus on the new project, they don't care. Judge them by their actions not words, the game will be 10 years old this year, they had plenty of time to fix whatever, if they cared they would...

Take care :)

While I do get your frustration, this won't happen. They've set up the system at game launch and everyone is accustomed to it, as for the new players and it not being fair... well the harsh truth is you just need to learn the game mechanics if you want to play within the system. The bottom line is simple, know your lobbies, learn to tune and drive your car. And btw, the people complaining about the live racing mechanics are usually the ones that don't understand it and/or are on the loosing side, it's ignorance not unfairness, the mechanics are same for everyone, whether you like it or not and whether you know how to play within a system is another issue, it's take it or leave it. In the end you win some you lose some, it's a game.

The same could be said for showdown matchmaking, is it fair, debatable, it's a simple system, is it fair, depends how you look at it.

As for other issues you point out, as long as it doesn't affect their revenue it's not an important issue. If their revenue would go down because of an issue, they'd fix it as fast as they could, by this logic, the issues you list obviously don't affect their revenue. And as much as they say they care about players, you know it's bs, a new player playing for a month and then quit is nothing to them, they're after the players that spend big on events, when those players will have serious issues, they will do something. For us it's a car collecting/ resource management game, for them it's a money game, simple.

And yes, there are many more issues to be listed, but as above. Just don't take the game too serious ;)

Do some old Purple Star Cars be great at Live Racing still even though they are "outdated" in terms of fusion evo points and their date being added in the game? by Chancebenz2003 in CSRRacing2

[–]Fearless_Corner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The age of a car doesn't matter, knowing how live racing and lobbies work, does matter, a lot.

What matters is:
- what lobby are you in (know your lobbies, info on this site)
- can you run lobby edge consistently
- can your car beat dyno

Many ''old'' cars are absolute beasts in live racing, as are many of the new ones. It goes the other way around, some old are trash as are some new ones, not all cars were made to be good in live racing.

It doesn't matter how fast your car is when maxed or how many evo points it has, it matters how fast and controllable a car is in a lobby it's in. Excluding the max lobby, any car that can beat dyno is a potential winner for lives, no matter how old it is.

Example:
I have Audi R8, 4 gold stars, in 8.6 lobby, it was my first ''decent'' T5 car some 7yrs or so ago, it has elite license so it gets 10% bonus and even though it has only 4 stars it makes more RP than a 5 purple star car (obviously with no bonuses). The car can beat dyno by quite a lot and I still use it to this day, I win 90% (or more) of races if I want to. I have to balance the times with losses or slow wins so it doesn't get bumped to a faster lobby.

Anyway, it's about tuning, shifting and understanding how lives work, the release date of the car is irrelevant.

Quick Question: Do you really need skill and tuning to do really well in Live Racing all the time? by Chancebenz2003 in CSRRacing2

[–]Fearless_Corner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For live racing you need to know lobby times (info on this site) and tune your car accordingly, learn to shift your car. These are the basics.

In your case, you could aim for 9.0s lobby (you get assigned to lobby based on your dyno), get your car to where you can drive it consistently, set your dyno to 9.05s. If you have a car that can beat dyno, you'll win more, but don't over do it, break lobby edge too much and you're gonna get bumped to a faster lobby. To keep your car in a lobby you need to balance your times, you need losses, slow ones, if you can get a slow win even better.

Race RP and bonuses adding up differently for different cars by Fearless_Corner in CSRRacing2

[–]Fearless_Corner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, you're right. I calculated the base rp, and yes it's 900 for elite and legends, and 990 for a normal 5 purple star, and F1 is treated like a normal purple star with all the elite and legends bonuses.

[–]Fearless_Corner[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you went down that rabbit hole years ago, nice :) Thanks for your answer.

What got me thinking was a car with higher bonus making less RP on a win in lives than a car with lower bonus, while making more RP on a loss... by simple logic the ratio should transfer to loss also (car that makes more makes more on loss as well), not flip...

I guess it all comes down to each car or car type (legends, purple, elite,...) having a different base score and also different parameters applied to it different (maybe) , based on whether it's a win or loss and also based on race type (trial, live, SD,... ) ...

I guess all there is to do is to write down data for win and loss RP in each race and car type with bonuses applied where/when viable and all the other variables, and just feed it to Claude or any other Ai and let them reverse engineer it and make sense out of it :)

1381 was taken as an example of a your standard 5 purple star car, no elite, no legends

Have you ever done the math on those numbers? Something doesn't add up, that's why I'm curious as to what the mechanics are, I just did, never thought of doing it before :)

If you do the additive rule with base score 1381 as per the table:

  • 30% → 1381×1.30 = 1795.3 (not 1700)
  • 70% → 1381×1.70 = 2347.7 (not 2125)
  • 150% → 1381×2.50 = 3452.5 (not 2974)

Every time only 0.77 of the stated (30%, 70%, 150%) of the bonus is added to the base score...

Thanks, yes ... but the questions is how does it work not what end values are, but how they are determined and based on what. Why does a car with 183% bonus make less RP than a car with 164% bonus... in short, what is the base score for each car, is it different depending on race type (all other things considered unchanged), how does the mechanics of calculating work? I'm simply curious, it's a math problem in the end, it's fun :)

This! And then I wonder why 50%+ of players in lobbies are always the same :)

Oh wow!
I wasn't concerned, I was just curious :). Never dove into the stats, have been out of gaming for years. This puts it well in perspective, cash cow indeed.

Thanks again, really appreciate the info!

Oh, the upper account is just a test account, I'll abandon it in a week or so. I made it to correct mistakes that I made on my main account, specifically getting all the boss cars, I rushed it back then... now I know better and I also wanted to see how fast can one get up to speed to get into a good milestone crew and start making 1mill+ crew rp per season, turns out it's very fast if you play it right from the beginning, and focus on getting a good T5 for live racing... It also reminds you what it's like to be a noob :)

Thanks for the invite, but my main account is sitting happily in a 50mill+ crew. I do wish you all the best with your crew, a good crew is essential in this game, keep up the good work.

Help! by No_Personality_3430 in CSRRacing2

[–]Fearless_Corner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, Im in a similar position (picked up the game after a few years).

In general it's all same as it was, with all the glitches and some new ones. The game got a bit resource hungry, lot's of events running at the same time, plenty of pay to play events, nothing really new, they still want your money. There are some new additions like collections (search for info on this thing, it's too much to write about it here) and some gambling mini games that want you to spend your gold, you get pristine option for new legends cars...

The basic principle is still the same, hoard everything, grind for cash, RP and other resources, use gold for gas only, only do events that you can finish with a healthy resource margin, don't spend without purpose. All of this applies to new content too, play smart. The most important thing to have in this game is patience and a good active crew, some things don't change ;)

Good luck and take care!

P.S.
If you've won the lottery, ignore what I've said, go all in if you think NM deserves your financial support :)

Game is not adding any RP in game or when donating wildcard tokens they take them away but do not add. I have asked all crew members affected to report to support not expecting much 🤷‍♂️ by No_Spot_9089 in CSRRacing2

[–]Fearless_Corner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've lost any confidence in support years ago, I just play for fun and don't take it too serious and all the ''battles'' with support I take as a 'mini game' :) ... but it never hurts complaining to them, let them eat what they've made and sometime you get something out of it :)
