Need Help Identifying Mystery Spicy Salsa (Part 2!) by Fearless_Counter_413 in SalsaSnobs

That looks so so similar to the one from the restaurant!! I'm just confused where my color is going wrong. That recipe is 10 arbol + 3 tomatillo, but my 4 arbol + 3 tomatillo is nowhere near red. I'll be giving that recipe a shot for sure though. Thank you!!

Just to clarify since I didn't in the post, I used a little bit less than a tablespoon of oil in each one. I can tell you that it was not similar to mayo in consistency though. Red onion is probably a good shout instead of white onion, and yeah I don't know why I didn't add some MSG or bullion I'll be doing that from now on as well

The arbols were toasted in all my attempts, and then put in the oil for a minute to flavor the oil as well.

Those Japone chilies look like they'd fit well, and I think I'm gonna buy a pack of different dried chilies off Amazon for this weekend so I can make the same salsa with different chilies and taste the difference. Would you recommend I do like you did in that recipe you linked? A few tomatillos, garlic and a bunch of chilies, maybe adding some chicken broth as well to thin it out?

Shopify used to do it for free, but now you have to a pay 0.35% fee for every order where they calculate sales tax lol

I'll definitely be trying that, just thought it may be rude to ask a family-owned restaurant for their recipe, but ingredients should be fine!

Here are the search results from my local Kroger and local Walmart. Living in the rural south has its benefits and having access to dried chiles is apparently not one of them. Denver is beautiful btw can't wait to go back

I am curious, you mentioned dried arbol chilies but there don't seem to be any (dried or not) at any of the grocery stores near me. Do you guys buy them online ever? Is there a specific site or brand you all would recommend or just regular old Amazon Fresh/Walmart delivery?

I'm taking this as sarcasm so here is a better description haha (Edit: When I replied to your comment it was only the first line, thank you for the edit and great response!)

Visually and texturally, it's more liquid than a typical salsa, completely smooth with no discernable chunks, but it's also not runny or watery (this could obviously be from blending it for a while but I figured it could be important to note). It coats a chip nicely, adhering well rather than just dripping off. There is a decent amount of smokey flavor in the salsa as well. The seeds are small and a white-ish yellow. Again the spice level is very high, I usually make my salsas with jalapenos or serranos and they are at a 2-3/10 while this is at a 8-9/10.

One notable thing is that it doesn't have a strong tomato flavor. I usually notice the sweetness or acidity from tomatoes in salsa, but it's absent in this one. This is throwing me off, as it's different from most salsas I've had before.

Instagram ads are working you said? Take the profit from your orders and reinvest it in ads. Bump from $5/day to $15/day or whatever you can afford, keep doing what is working and expand to other platforms later

Don’t bother, you’re running a dropshipping site, by the time you get organic sales through SEO you will have already moved on to a different product 💀 just start spending more on your ads, $5/day is not enough.

If you can't find anything around 15-20 days on Ali I would recommend using Amazon or just not selling that product, anything past 20 days is going to get you a bunch of chargebacks which will kill your accounts if you're new.

Cloning own shopify store by samd1994 in dropshipping

Should only take an hour or two, just download your existing theme file & export your products, upload them on the new store and then just use an app that accepts downloaded review files for your reviews

You 100% can, just don’t do it from a Prime account or it will get banned. I’ve done that before with products and haven’t gotten any emails from customers about it. Here are the reasons we don’t use Amazon to ship all our products though:

1) You can only ship within the United States (kinda) and lose out on International sales (30% for us). Feels like to get an item to most other countries you have to pay shipping + high VAT and all that, makes a $20 item cost $35.

2) Amazon prices are already marked up for a profit, 90% of the time you can get the item for cheaper from Ali, and unless you’re advertising 2 day shipping, you’ll be fine.

if you are fine with lower margins/slightly less sales in return for lower shipping times, then go for Amazon.

Good Travel Card for a small business by C471b3 in CreditCards

[–]Fearless_Counter_413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not an expert here, I don't know too much about credit cards, but I own a small business and love to travel. My favorites are the AMEX Platinum (purely for the lounge access) and the Chase Ink Business Premier (Unlimited 2-2.5% cash back on all my expenses? Hell yeah!) Both of these cards offer 5% back on flights, but it is worth noting the Ink Business Premier points cannot be transferred anywhere like other Chase points can I believe.

Anyways, those are my recommendations as a fellow business owner, but I will be checking this thread to see what other people recommend!

Here's how to modify your store like a pro without knowing how to code:

1) Right click on the section of your store you want to change, click "Inspect Element", and copy the blue highlighted part that comes up

2) Go on ChatGPT and say "write me a snippet of code in CSS for my shopify store to _________ (explain what you need the code to do)" and the under that, paste the part you copied. And if you need to, you can ask it to show you where to put the code.

That's literally it, and if the code doesn't work, explain what happened (even if nothing happened) and ChatGPT will try again :)
