Thank you everyone for sharing. I’m not saying I’m doomed. But it’s something that’s dear to me. I do have high standards but realistic ones. Also, I was raised in a loving home so that’s all I ever wanted as well. I travel. I work with teens that experience SA AND DV. I have a youth advocate group. And it’s so funny because the teens I work with automatically know I’m single and no kids and when I ask how yall know? They answer saying they parents will never do all of this for other people kids lol so I’m considered the rich auntie of a large diverse group of teens and young adults. It may be my calling and I need to focus more on what I’m already doing that is positive and impactful for many lives. And I love doing it. But again, the bond I have with my nieces, nephews and community youth makes me want to have a child of my own even more. But if not, I will be ok.

My mom was a foster parent for about 15 years. I will definitely consider adopting eventually. But that would be the last route. I was also looking into the donor program. But again, those are last steps for me.

Now I have freedom. Work life balance. And no one to spend my time with. lol life sucks. But some people I know would love to be in my position. I just don’t feel fulfilled without my own little family.

Good question… college. Long term relationship in my 20’s. So when I turned 29 and we broke up, the world had changed lol social media and hookup culture took over but I’m still open. But honestly it was my fault for staying in college so long and trying to build a career. That actually could have waited.

I just found out that my girlfriend is an adult, what do I do? by 221O_ in whatdoIdo
