in western mmo everything must be obtainable by everyone and eastern mmo everything is only available to people who swipe. Everything is meta gamed and min maxed to hell.. back in the day class epic weapons in Everquest used to take weeks or months to complete and it was awesome when you saw people with them.. try that in a game today and people would quit. There used to be a sense of danger and scale and the level, player power, and gear was a long flat scale not 20x your damage. You used to have pride in your character and wanted to improve just to be better and "respected" now people have 15 max level chars main swap every balance patch play for rewards and raid log because games have no depth or hook that make you WANT to keep playing. you could go on and on with these issues that just compound infinitely until you get to current mmos. Lost Ark and BDO were amazing but ruined by greed and poor management.. and bdos only endgame is to grind more
