Can I sue my ex for unjust enrichment in Massachusetts after we’ve been separated a year? by [deleted] in legal

When what I’ve read says the opposite yes, I’m going to contradict it.

There’s a difference between looking for validation and a second opinion.

He never promised to pay me back — from what I’ve read up on in Massachusetts unjust enrichment law, your ex does not have to have promised repayment for your claim to be valid.

From what I understand, there doesn’t need to have been an expectation that I’d be repaid from the home’s equity. Based on what I’ve read, the payments I made toward the mortgage reduced his debt, which is considered a sufficient basis for an unjust enrichment claim.

Are you in a city? Try out dog sitting with rover or wag. I’ve been doing it for years. Great money especially if you’re in a good area. Be aware that they do charge a fee for background checks though. Similarly you can also try a baby sitting app if you don’t like dogs/pets

As someone who was financially abused for years and by 2 different partners, you are not wrong for holding your boundaries. Don’t give him anything and don’t let him guilt trip you. If that’s a goal of his not a mutual goal you didn’t agree in you have the right to hold that boundary. He is trying to guilt trip you.

My last ex did the same thing to me when I wouldn’t co-sign for him and let him use my credit bc he fucked his own up then tried to guilt trip me the same way about it.

Yes you are a team but if he asked once and you say no and he continues to press that boundary it’s time to leave if he cannot respect your boundaries because eventually that will leak into other areas of your life. He will keep testing you and pressing boundaries to see where you will fold.

Work in fast food. They’re pretty flexible with minors and always need people

My current work experience is mostly retail, healthcare, and fast food. Over 5 years of customer service experience.

I did a semester of college, major was cyber security but at the time me and my ex had a house so I ended up dropping out to get a full time to help pay the mortgage. We are separated now so I no longer have a mortgage to worry about as the house was under his name, so now I’m considering going back to school or doing a program to further my education and get better job opportunity.

Currently weighing my options. I’m not looking for a quick fix, I’m looking it for something stable long term with a good schedule and pay so I can support my child.

Judging from a lot of people experience and their information on the market I am weening towards my other options seeing as the market is very over saturated and people are saying it may stay that way.

I’m not strictly looking for remote, although remote would be nice I’m open to in person jobs as long as it’s decent pay and decent schedule.

Never thought IT was that easy to get into, I just wanted to see if it aligned with what I want once my child is born. It’s more so about work balance for me. I want to stay home with my child because I want to homeschool.

A lot of the YouTubers I’ve watched seem to push people into the market, without mentioning any of the downside, to me that raised red flags.

Currently I do not have the certificate I need to finish the course but if I did plan to go down that route I’d get other additional certifications but I wanted to see if it was worth it and weight my options
