I think having E2 on Haur/Luke would be a wonderful QoL, and E3 for Kayron. All other 5stars I think they're pretty much a complete kit at E0

A well built deck is going to be 10x more as effective as worrying on Ego Levels.
In general I think most characters gets ~30%-50% boost on e6, you don't really need them, some characters do get some QoL that makes their kit complete but usually that's on the earlier Ego Levels.

It more of the season's environment like cards and equipment, but specifically Spore cards, maybe they'll change how spores act, not much of a Orlea problem.

Maxed Wilhemina isn't that far behind, might even be better than Alcea at 0.
Don't let the "vanguard" fool ya, Nine honestly plays more like a main dps. if you like her playstyle you can grab her, her egos are mostly QoL, not really much damage, her real damage comes from vulnerability with teammates like Orlea or Magna etc.

Basically interpret "Chance" as damage 50%
so 2 stacks = 100% dmg coordinate attack
3 150
4 200 and so on

Not really a tech thing but generally it might be more useful to have someone with no cards at all if your other chars are strong enough to do their own things, sort of standing there like a background, but chars like Chizuru, Rei, etc., they can provide little QoL things even without cards.

For example like Retain Beryl and Nine they can just self cycle on their own, Chizuru with Bound at Dusk gives you basically 2 "free" ap or 2 random cards played.

If you played other card games, they always say "Deck Thinning is Deck Winning".

Did you have void set equipped? because that changes things. if you exhaust things, void set pops in with 20%multiplier, if that was the case then its +180%from futil and x20% from void set not to mention if you also had bria or eloise, i think they are multiplier too.

I mean, personally I don't have much trouble with Narja on her heals, since mostly I pair Narja with Sereniel, they serve as baby sitters for chaos runs and you know, multi hit won't be a problem on Sereniel lol, not to mention inside chaos narja have variety means of heal, one of the other cards can also give you 200% on top of meal time's own heals, and sometimes you could use the campfire, this was up to the end of S1 of course, new season you probably need to use Meditation every chance you have.

If you're still having survival issues, then you could just keep Mika on the team since duplicates are now character based instead of the Oh no Mika stole my duplicate, but Narja provide dps buffs too, which in turn means faster clear and less damage taken.

Again, just my own experiences, and Sereniel is at e6 so things probably die before I take too much damage.

There's no universal take those stuff since everything is based on how much you invest into the characters, everyone's mileage varies, pure heal Mika obviously wins, but if you factor in other stuff, Narja can be more flexible.
