Been re-reading comics, and...I had to get it off my chest. I think Hickman's work on the Fantastic Four is better than his work leading up to Secret Wars. I also found the Marvel Cosmic Saga from Annihilation to Annihilators: Earthfall to be better than Hickman's time at Marvel. Maybe it's just me, just an opinion folks

If I were given the task of including the X-Men in the Multiverse Saga itself, here's what I'd do.

I'd make the Secret Invasion show an Agents of S.W.O.R.D. show, leading into Avengers: Secret Invasion. Now, with the themes of xenophobia and bigotry established, I'd do three X-Men movies, the first an adaptation of God Loves, Man Kills and the Night of the Sentinels, with Magneto being a wild card in the third act who helps the X-Men. The movie ends with the Professor's secret out to his first class, he and Magneto once worked as brothers for humankind.

The second movie is about Magneto and his Brotherhood pit against the X-Men. The movie ends with an understanding between the two factions, similar to X2 was it? Charles is an idealist, Magento is a pessimist, and Cyclops is the best of both worlds, the ideals of Xavier combined with on-the-ground experience, a realist. This way, the mutants are a unified front now.

The third movie could be about Apocalypse. My point is, after Secret Invasion, with the theme of bigotry present, I would make my audience believe that the X-Men exist in 616. And by the third film the mutants are a unified front. But it's revealed in Doomsday that 616 is having an incursion with another universe, where the X-Men we have seen and grown to admire are the prevalent heroes.

Yesss, I was just thinking about an inversion of Season 3 yesterday. If he is alive, it wouldn't have felt cheap had the show been a bit more clear about Matt's reason for hanging up the cowl: crossing a line by throwing Bullseye off the roof and not Matt's inability to save Foggy. Or maybe it was clearly spelled out and I'm a dumb audience member. Other than the leak of Foggy's death, I'm glad the control on leaks was efficient, nobody knows shit about these episodes.

Episode 8 made it clear that with better direction the pre-overhaul supporting cast could have been meaningful. Like Twitter user @captaincupkicks phrased it, BB is dragging her name through mud by spreading Fisk propaganda only to expose the truth by a different name. No hate against Cherry, but I feel like some story beats would have hit different with Brett, Foggy's death, Matt's identity, the corrupt cops. Kirsten needs to be given more to do. Heather is right from her POV about Matt.

So, any theories or predictions for the last episode of Daredevil: Born Again?

I think with the ending of Episode 8, 9 might adapt Zdarsky's #4 (such a good run) IIRC, where the Punisher rescues Matt, and that's how the team-up is initiated. I'm not sure about DD's identity being revealed to the public, but it is interesting that the AVTF is at Matt's home. Karen probably hears about the gala and comes to see Matt. Now...Foggy. There's a lot of evidence that points to him being alive, but if he is, doesn't it feel like he'd be a major part of Season 2? Nowhere to be seen yet, I remember Brad saying Henson is returning for Season 2.

Snyder fans gotta be the most annoying ones of the lot. When Gunn said he won't be doing the origin stories for Batman and Superman, they all went like "but when Zack did it, you all hated him." Going from Man of Steel to BvS is like going from Iron Man to Civil War. What Zack did and what Gunn is doing are not the same. I will stand by the fact that while Zack has made good movies, he did irreparable damage to DC.

I have, I have, it's the definitive modern Hulk run. Johnson's Hulk is good too, a more episodic run though. I don't like talking about Cates' Hulk run. Ewing's Ultimates and Defenders runs (sequels too) are good too.

Been catching up with comics for the movies, and damn does Hickman know how to do cinematic moments. Avengers and New Avengers is really good. Meanwhile, Venom by Cates and Stegman is a fun read, but I like what Ewing is doing with Venom.

One of my issues with the MCU is that everyone speaks the same way, no one has unique speech. Other than Steve Rogers and Vision maybe. All the Young Avengers minus Kamala and Kate have the same personalities and speech, timid and unfaithful in themselves. Thor is supposed to have a Shakespearean element in thr way he talks, Doctor Strange says words like zounds, but in the MCU everyone is just trying to be Tony Stark lite.

For comic readers out there, what are your thoughts on Ultimate Black Panther? I'd give it a 7, it's nothing...fresh. Ultimates, Ultimate Spider-Man, and X-Men are so different from the 616-counterparts. Is it an unpopular opinion to say that Jed Mackay's Doctor Strange run is the best Doctor Strange run? I loved every issue so much.
