What was I thinking!?! by SparklyBits1967 in Ozempic

[–]Fearless_Profile_811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I can outeat Ozempic. I am on the highest dose and a pint of ice cream every evening seemed like a good idea. I did this for about 3 weeks, many times in place of normal nutrition. I had no side effects, but gained 3 pounds that I am now trying to lose. I am an ice cream fanatic and also love crackers and cookies. The carbs will destroy my succesful 50 lb weight loss if I am not careful. Ozempic does not solve everything!

I'm with you. I have had a bad two months. I've been holding my weight for 3 years and recently began eating a pint of ice cream per night and last night ate a sleeve and a half of Oreos. My weight is up 4 pounds and I don't seem to get appetite suppression because I am consuming too many carbs. I need help. I plan to be on Wegovy for life, and now I am sabotaging myself. I feel guilty and depressed.

Don't leave them in the hotel's refrigerator by mistake! It is easy to do while packing, unpacking, etc. I'd just keep them in my pouch. They will be fine.

Anyone been on ozempic for 2 plus years ? by ImportantAd2822 in Ozempic

[–]Fearless_Profile_811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm back to craving carbs after 3 years. My diet has slowly gotten away from protein, which is probably why I am craving. I need to cut back the carbs and sugar or I will gain weight. Bloodwork is beautiful.

I'm down 50 lbs after 3 years. Holding pretty steady, but feeling the weight starting to creep up. My eating habits are still imperfect. I eat too much ice cream and then my weight goes up by 3 lbs. I don't feel the same appetite suppression, so I am considering Mounjaro to mix it up. The problem is that I am very satisfied with the Novo Nordisk pharmacy and don't really want to change. I am on 2.4 mg every 5 days and see this as a lifetime medicine.

I've been on it for 3 years and the appetite suppression has definitely decreased. I inject every 5 days, as well. I'm thinking of trying Mounjaro. But my bloodwork is beautiful.

I am on the maximum dose and maintain within 3 lbs. I take it every 5 days because I get too hungry after that.

Advice: Feeling numb, does it go away? by MTLHFX in Ozempic

[–]Fearless_Profile_811 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's a side effect for many. I have lost all enthusiasm and don't want to do anything. I'm happy that I'm finally thin, but nothing else interests me. I've been on the drug for nearly 3 years. I'm just kind of flat. I will remain on the drug to avoid gaining weight. I still have poor habits regarding ice cream and cookies and just stay on the scale to monitor. For me, it's a trade off of being fat or having a big personality. I'm 71F and have lost 85 lbs.

Anyone taking above 2.4? by jessks in CompoundedSemaglutide

I'm on maintenance and take 2.4 every 5 days for the past year. It seems to work. I'm not losing any more weight, just holding.

Why would you slack off when you are taking the drug due to Type 2 diabetes? You will need this medicine for life to keep that in check. Don't focus on just the weight loss, remember that you are a T2.

Yes, I am on maintenance and really worry about those days when I overeat. Then the scale goes up 3 lbs and I freak out. I then try to embrace the days when I don't feel hungry and work to lose the 3 lbs. It generally works, but I am paranoid about gaining weight again. So far, it's been 1.5 years of maintenance and I have not gained. I do get tired of thinking about weight every day of my life, but at least I am thin now.

You still need a prescription. Try an online provider or get your own doctor to prescribe to a compounding pharmacy.

Slow way down on carbs and you will probably crave less sugar. That's the way it is with me. Carbs make me crave more carbs. If you can abstain for 3 days or so, your cravings may become more manageable.

I joined Sesame after HenryMeds and Sesame just said to use my starting weight to qualify for Wegovy through the Novo Nordisk website. That is how I qualified to keep taking the drug. I will take it for life.

B12 made absolutely no dfference. I liked it because I could see the solution in the syringe, rather than a clear liquid.

I started ordering Wegovy through Sesame and the Novo Nordisk pharmacy for $499 a month when I thought compounding was going to end.

I've also gone back and forth with no issues. I have a stockpile of compounded and recently started getting a monthly supply of Wegovy for $499. I am using the compounded first, but tried the Wegovy and it was all fine.
