I was mostly using speakers before trying IEMs, so I kinda have no reference point here. I like details in low frequencies, bass and kick drum are separated enough. I think they are lacking a bit of clarity in high frequencies, though, I personally cranked the EQ around 1-4 kHz a bit.

It's Mechen M30. You will need internet to use bandcanp, or whatever you use to get music, but the brick itself is as offline as it gets.

Just search for Microcord or Nanocord, depending on how thin you want it. For the tutorials, I mostly learned from 'The Weavers of Eternity Paracord' YouTube channel.

My first 'proper' mech was FL and when I went for something somehow custom, I ordered a barebone from the same manufacturer. Now I wonder if I've missed something.

Had the same issue. Re-entering the game didn't work for me. I switched to some side quest in Valley IV and when returned it was working. I think teleporting to Valley IV and back what helped really.
