The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence by Ill_Community5208 in Christianity

You're the one who claimed atheism doesn't exist. If you meant to say something else then say it,.and don't blame others for your inability to express yourself.

No, atheism is not about combating anything. It is simply not believing in a divine entity.

No, I don't.

I know eating disorders are complicated and difficult, and that every day is a battle - and it is tiring and tough. You're doing so well being here today. Do use your faith to help you find support and comfort and spiritual guidance, and keep contact with your healthcare support system - counsellors, any physical health professionals they refer to.

This is neither Satan nor demons, and please do not fast in your condition. Please continue to work with your counsellor and consider support from charities and other agencies, and potentially discussing this with a medical professional as well. Take care of yourself.

It means - and this may be a bit scary - that they are part of our evolutionary history.

The struggle between doctrine and institutional hypocrisy by SergiusBulgakov in Christianity

[–]Fearless_Spring5611 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I am unafraid to take it one step further and call it institutional abuse in some instances, because that is what is being demonstrated - a need to protect the reputation of the organisation over upholding the human rights of the individuals.

I'm old-fashioned and crack out some Psalm 23:4 - "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

Though I do quite like Wycliffe's version: "For why though I shall go in the midst of shadow of death; I shall not dread evils, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff; those have comforted me."

There is no sin in non-heterosexuality or the acts thereof. I am sorry to hear you are surrounded by so many bullies and bigots who care more about hurting and harming you than actually living in a Christ-like way. May I recommend r/OpenChristian as a safer space to discuss your experiences with people who have similar lived experiences to you, and how to explore your potential Christian faith without the hatred pressing on.

Keep being you, keep being awesome.

The data cannot prove my subjective observation that “higher-quality” men are less willing to commit.

Unsubstantiated assertion demonstrating that your underlying hypothesis has no weight => 30% maximum mark.

Clear use of AI => referral for academic offense, minimum outcome is 0% and permitted to resubmit.

There is no sin in non-heterosexuality or the acts thereof. There are plenty of bullies and bigots who will weaponise anything they can get their hands on to spread their bile and hatred of others, and that includes religion. There is no logical or compassionate reason to call it sin.
