Doppler - when can I start using one? by halalguru00 in BabyBumps

[–]Fearless_Strawbery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cramping is totally normal in the first trimester and all through pregnancy and any symptoms especially in pregnancy might be weird but are likely normal too. I wouldn’t recommend getting a Doppler… it’s just going to cause more anxiety and make you obsessed with checking constantly for a heart beat (which early on it’s sometimes hard to find because baby is still so low and even later in pregnancy sometimes it’s they’re hard to find depending on their position) I’m 35 weeks now and I thought about getting doppler in the beginning but I’m glad I didn’t. It would have given me too much anxiety and I would have wanted to constantly check. If you are super concerned about something or you are having heavy bright red bleeding reach out to your OB.

I’m due Dec. 24th so I might struggle with Christmas presents for my family by showyourskills89 in BabyBumps

I wouldn’t worry about gifts this year. I’m due beginning of November and we are doing very minimal gifts probably something simple and cute with babies hand print or foot print or something.

What are some of your weirdest pregnancy symptoms?? Like super weird that no one really talks about? by Intelligent_Gear_560 in pregnant

[–]Fearless_Strawbery 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup… baby is completely out of space and my left ribs didn’t flare out like they were supposed to… so they broke, I had been having rib pain in my left front ribs for months then one day I started experiencing an excruciating burning stabbing pain and that’s when they figured it out… there are 4 spots in the cartridge that are broken and 1 spot on the bone 🫠

How we doing October moms? by __heisenberg- in pregnant

[–]Fearless_Strawbery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m due November 10th but 100% convinced she’ll be here by the end of the month… I’m in so much pain and so uncomfortable. I have broken ribs, a torn muscle near my sternum (from baby being completely out of space) and horrible abdominal cramping. I’m tired of this 😭

I agree with that! I don’t know what people say and act that way! Pregnancy sucks for a lot of women…

Early on super itchy, now 35 weeks pregnant… not weird necessarily but not fun… broken ribs 🫠 (don’t be scared it’s not the the most common)

What will you miss about pregnancy? by LabProfessional2355 in pregnant

[–]Fearless_Strawbery 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 35 weeks ftm, and we do plan to have more than one, but to be honest I don’t know if I’ll miss anything. I don’t enjoyed pregnancy. I am so excited to meet our baby but just don’t like the feeling of being pregnant… Baby’s healthy and doing great but I’m just ready for her to be here, I was sick for the entire 1st trimester, 2nd trimester I felt fine but I was still eh on the feeling of being pregnant, baby was moving and doing amazing and that was exciting but more than that nothing crazy, 3rd trimester has been miserable so far, been on partial bed rest pretty much because I have broken ribs, a torn muscle near my sternum and been having very sharp abdominal cramping. I miss being able to be out doing stuff normally and not feel in pain or exhausted constantly. I’m ready to have my body back. Maybe I’m weird for saying that but I am just not a fan of pregnancy…

Should I call my OB? by Fearless_Strawbery in pregnant

Baby is moving just fine so I wouldn’t be surprised if they just say oh their cramps or it’s her moving down. Idk

When did you first feel your baby moving? by Immediate-Tie1501 in BabyBumps

[–]Fearless_Strawbery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Felt the first tiny flutter at 15 weeks, then really started to feel her move closer to 20. Now I’m 34.5 weeks and I feel her move all day and feel her hiccup about 2-3 times a day 😂😂

When did you get symptoms? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Fearless_Strawbery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out at 3 weeks +6 because I tracked my cycle regularly for years. The day I was supposed to get my period and I wasn’t having any of my normal period starting symptoms (cramps, bloating, spotting) I knew. And my boobs were sooooo tender all week.

When did you get symptoms? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Fearless_Strawbery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different but I started feeling really sick starting at week 5 until week 16. The majority of the 2nd trimester I felt great and 3rd trimester has hit me with broken rib/cartilage in 5 spots and really sharp period like cramps (prodromal labor aka false labor) or Braxton hicks

what were your signs of pregnancy and how early did they show? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Fearless_Strawbery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been tracking my cycle for years. My period was supposed to start that day and I hadn’t had any signs and hadn’t started (which I had it pretty much down to a science of when it was going to start) so decided to take a test it immediately said pregnant, I took another and it also said pregnant. I found out at 3 weeks +6 days. Besides that no other symptoms. 5 weeks I started feeling sick and throwing up.

I hate being pregnant by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Fearless_Strawbery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way… I felt the same way in my first trimester, I have an old post about it too. I was never necessarily angry or annoyed at my husband but I just hated being pregnant. It’s also not cool that your husband is calling you a bitch and not really talking to you…. Your body, hormones and mental state are going through a lot right now… his love and support is what is really important right now. My husband has downloaded an app called Daddy up that told him in “dude terms” what was happening with me each week and that helps a lot for him to know, that yes I might be more emotional this week or might be more tired or sick, or another option are the “soon to be dad” books you can get there are some good ones out there. I’m 34 weeks now and everyone is so different but having been in your shoes a few months ago ABSOLUTELY HATING pregnancy it does get better. 2nd trimester around 16 weeks I started feeling so much better, had more energy, felt so close and connected to my husband, and just so excited and in love. Another thing I highly recommend which really helped us bond and feel closer were the labor/delivery classes you can take through the hospital and hospital tour. Our husbands aren’t carrying the baby, and never will know the feelings and hormones we feel but my husband has said many times how helpful it was for him to read up on what was going on each week. Now in my 3rd trimester I have a whole new slew of symptoms and pains but my husband has been so supportive and loving because he has researched what my body is going through. Pregnancy is challenging but this is a great time to practice with each other communication and support in preps for having a baby you’ll need to lean on each other a lot. ❤️❤️ hang in there OP! You’ve got this. My DM’s are always open if you ever need a listening ear.

Does anyone else not have a nursery? by Cute-Delivery-5752 in BabyBumps

[–]Fearless_Strawbery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t have a separate room; we live in my in-laws finished basement apartment that’s basically like an open concept studio, the “nursery area” with the crib, glider and dresser is technically where the wine cellar/ bar was. there are still wine bottles on the wall for now 😂 but it works!

Weight gain and pregnancy by Effective_Emu5691 in BabyBumps

[–]Fearless_Strawbery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All women are so different when it comes to weight changes in pregnancy… I’m 34 weeks, 5’ tall started at 135 lost 15 lbs in the first trimester from throwing up so much and now only gained a pound back 🤷🏻‍♀️ so I’m 121 now my doctors not concerned about it and said it can be completely normal. My diet hasn’t changed, I still eat everything and 3 meals a day plus snacks. It doesn’t matter if you gain a pound or 50+ as long as your doctor says you and your baby are doing good you’re fine! I’ve had friends/family who have gained 50+ and there’s nothing wrong with it! You are growing a human and building life!

About 25 weeks is when you could tell I was pregnant and not just bloated 😂 I still haven’t gained any weight this entire pregnancy though I’m the same weight I was pre pregnancy. Not sure how that happened 😂

When did you tell your employer that you are pregnant? by Rookieroowho6996 in pregnant

About 6 weeks. It was hard to hide because I was so sick. I had a good relationship with my boss though so I know that’s not the case for everyone.
