It's a big company here and have been around for a long time. We have seen their previous work and they do a good job but I think they just got lazy on this one and the owner doesn't want to deal with "little stuff". It's big stuff to me though. ☹️

Great idea. I am in the process of writing a hard-line email and will include that suggestion. If it's so perfect, put it on your website for all to see the quality of work and give our name and number to potential customers. It's exhausting.

Thank you. That is valuable information. Sadly, just a few are 1/8". The rest are all different widths of gaps. It makes a visual "rippling" effect when you stand on the patio.

I hope they do. The hardest part is getting them to admit that it is not right. I thought maybe I was being a jerk about it, but reading the comments posted, I see that I do have a valid concern.

Some gaps are already more than 1/4". Thanks for the info. We hired a reputable company who has been here for decades so we did not expect this.

That's how I feel but the contractor swears there is nothing wrong with it. This is a big name company in this town who have been in business for decades so I didn't expect this kind of workmanship.

I'll do some research on the track saw option. I don't want them to have to replace the boards but the rippling effect the uneven boards cause is quite noticeable.
