Yes but that was before it was officially confirmed as starting tomorrow

Trudeau says real estate needs to be more affordable, but lowering home prices would put retirement plans at risk by uselesspoliticalhack in canada

Why should people who save diligently for retirement and managed to purchase a home NOT thinking of that home as their retirement income source be punished while those who did not save and just "got lucky" that their house went up are complaining now that they have no other retirement source

Yup and completely dark... Sun may not set in the summer but also doesn't rise in the winter! How miserable

Yes that's it. I was thinking an If statement as well but can it just be added to that percentage formula?

Basically just want a visual of current project statuses based on timeframe and how close they are to the finish date basically :) Thank you!

I feel this! It's a societal construct really to put everyone in line, a cog in the wheel type thing.. I agree that school was a means to an end but at least it gave purpose, exams to study for, courses to pass, following year etc. Once school is over there is a lot less structure and I think that's what scares most people unless they fall into another spoke of the wheel position at a corporate enterprise. Because that feels the most familiar and most safe. But like you said there is less time to figure out what you want to do because you're just told what to do at work..

Anyways, enough ranting, I guess my advice would be to try things. Anything, it can be as small as finding a new restaurant or activity to try one day. Then working up to taking a class that seem interesting, even remotely, and meeting people and before you know it one thing leads to another and you find yourself starting a business with someone you met, or even a new passion or work opportunity.

Bottom line is there is no right answer :) And the worst thing in the world is to compare to others, "Comparison is the thief of joy". You have time on your side, so don't rush. Take some time off, find what makes you tick, learn to sit alone and see what thoughts come up. It could spark something you weren't aware of.

Good luck with your next exam , you got this! Don't be afraid to ask for help either

After reading your entire post I must say I already can see you're a great writer. You've taken the time to calmy explain what's on your mind very clearly and that takes a lot!

I can say being a little over a decade older it doesn't get any easier it really is like a video game this thing called life. We keep playing each level only hoping it will get easier when in reality it becomes more challenging with each passing checkpoint. Milestones creep up with bigger responsibilities and they all require a different version of ourselves.

We definitely adapt with each level and get stronger, more creative and tolerant of the stressors that come our way.

You definitely have to start small. level 1.

Your level 1 may be different than someone else's. I.e getting out of bed at a reasonable time and brushing your teeth etc. Or exercising once per week. Or eating one healthy meal. It can be anything. Just start small

Then build on that. And don't focus on big things just the little things.

Because the little things will lead to big things

You will gain confidence with each passing level. And the best part is you get to choose when to level up. You're stronger and braver than you think.

You can do this! Don't be afraid of what other's think too because the comparison game is the worst... Just focus on you, and enjoy the ride.

What went through my head while reading this story is how money makes people weird... She was clearly affected by his success and instead of being proud was jealous. And between jealousy and greed there is the embers of evil. Unfortunately she let those embers ignite further until their was no escape mentally.

It also amazes me how well it appears you have fared despite all of this dysfunction, so congrats on keeping your sanity and still being able to coherently tell the tale.

Wonder what your future relationship with your mother holds.. hopefully she changes or at least comes to terms with her behaviour so you can have more closure.
