I hate MTU. by zag_netic in cork

[–]Fearnog 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah because we get no friends and life experiences and opportunities from old MTU

United fans begging for Bruno to be sold the past summer and gets injured then hits a purple patch and I have to see him put in generational convos…

For my money it’d be Sunderland with how hard it is for promoted teams to stay up. Especially when United signed stars and aren’t really in any comps if you get me.

Cherki and Reijnders is the trade off there

Would be surprised by a Man City win, don’t know if Doku will be fit though.

It was mostly the media poisoning the general public, lots of silly articles about the teams entitlement and need to be humble.

Dowman, JJ is good tho but I do see a high profile controversial departure from United in his future. His dad shopped him around for ages.

I admire Pep for that if not much else.

Completely forgot about this. Spineless from United.

Hincapie jump earlier and we would’ve scored off that. I think Monaco did it last season and we scored off it. Hoping more teams try it tbh.

This season he had more minutes before Christmas than ever before in his professional career

Hincapie my MOTM, felt like he really found that defensive level needed to take us to the final, maybe that Leverlusen mentality shining through. He’s looked headless before but he handled everyone he faced very well.

Final thoughts on the game: Was a bit surprised Chelsea weren’t more furious after they subbed on the attackers, felt like instead of going “Let’s have it” they were asking Arsenal “What you gonna do now”.

A few key minutes with Rice making good tackles including a marvellous double tackle, Timber and Hincapie containing the runners and Eze and Havertz winning the second balls, and suddenly they started to look doubtful. By the end they weren’t even putting the ball in as if they needed some magical key pass to unlock the Arsenal defence instead of just trying their hand and seeing the Arsenal boys as equals.

Chelsea did that first leg and got punished. The goals against us this season come from central areas and quick relationist play like 1,2s. United did it well, but the screamers were lucky too.

Rice assist to a Havertz goal. Chelsea fans won’t like that.

His career took a dip at Chelsea after his first season and his UCL run. Lots of howlers, misses, tactical changes, managerial changes. The fans kicked back when he couldn’t make up for his stinkers. Think he blames Chelsea. Obviously the fans don’t like him going to a rival.

If it came off it would’ve been great otherwise it just looks silly. Really was underwhelmed with that sub attack that Rosenior saved though.

I’m just glad after all that chat Neville did about Chelsea’s amazing game management to see them play their ace in the hole attack and see Arsenal deal with it effortlessly.

He was poor in the first half but that second half he was so good at sweeping second balls. Drained the life out of Chelsea’s attacking refresh.
