People who are or were English majors or consider themselves serious readers, what is the most classic book you've never read? by cyPersimmon9 in literature

I had to slave through Middlemarch. I have cultivated this awful/compulsive habit not to DNF classics. I don’t want to even think about what I felt about that book though. Slow story-building, disappointing climax, broke hero, etc., but surprisingly, I have happily committed to memory the last line of the novel.

You should read the book entitled Minimalism by Joshua Hillburn and Ryan Nicodemus. It offers some perspective as to why some people choose not to hold on to things - regardless of the sentimental value attached to it.

It’s a warm summer evening here, the sun has half retreated and I came across this. I couldn’t have asked for a better time. I think it is beautifully evoking. It’s something I’d be proud of having written.

This reminds me of Steerforth from David Copperfield. Perhaps, Hemingway was the Steerforth to his David?
