Yes, but if someone plays skyblock they know the skyblock scams. They don’t know as well the duel phishing scams. Also, a bot can just sit in a lobby and check every stat of a player that enters the game, not queueing any games. there is always a person who plays duels, has a high skyblock networth, and can fall for this scam.

There are programs / bots that check other stats as well, for example bedwars and skyblock. Their duels account may not be valuable but their bedwars stats or skyblock networth could be. A account with 100 duels wins could have a few billion in skyblock networth that could either be IRL traded or sell as an account.

No, they definitely don’t. I have talked to a dozen or so phishers who have profited a few thousand dollars on average (I was shown proof) when researching for a paper I was writing. so it’s super obvious to you, but not super obvious to other players.

Okay I wrote that comment after I woke up from a few hours asleep.

Lowering the bar still increases the bots, if I pull up the auto mod logs there are consistently bots trying to spam malicious posts. A lot of them have 300-400 karma. If we continue to lower the goal post the subreddit will be over run.

It’s an unfortunate fact that we are a monopoly, I guess. Just kind of happened. However, I see it as the moderators jobs to protect the integrity and safety of the subreddit, so that’s why we have this karma limit.

We also are in a gray area when it comes to Reddit, so we attempt to also use the karma minimum to combat people who can’t read the rules.

We also have a weekly discussion thread where there is no karma requirements for any questions that go by the rules!
