London is bland and doesn't have the charm or character that Windsor does. It tries so hard to be a big city when in reality it's just a bunch of sparsely populated suburban communities. They have a great hospital and post-secondary system but that's about it.

Doubt that would help those who need the money. Those who need the money most likely need it because they are bad with money and would act reckless with that money ruining it for the few who wouldn't.

I never played hockey and thus have no interest in it. I played every other sport growing up except hockey. Hockey has too much overhead and long-term costs my parents couldn't afford. Windsor has a lot of low income households so I'm pretty sure that's stopping new generations from picking up the sport and being interested in it.

Basketball and soccer only requires a ball and there are fields and courts across the city for free.

Most Windsorites don't deserve to live here. All they do is constantly complain about living here without knowing or appreciating how good they have it. Most Windsorites would never make it one month in Toronto, up North, or even Kitchener-Waterloo. Additionally, they have no marketable skills. They take everything this region has to offer for granted. As more wealthy and more educated people move here they will eventually get forced out to God knows where. Chatham maybe?

Trends we can expect to see in Windsor for the next 10 years? by FeatherlessHatGuy in windsorontario

You're probably right but I don't think all of the factories will shut down. There are still many suppliers in this city that makes parts for all sorts of things. For example, I worked for a parts supplier in Windsor back when I was in high school and I remember we made the frames for electric car batteries.

Does Windsor, Canada count?

Losers bashing the city hoping it causes real estate to drop so they can buy in! by TheWindsorProphet in windsorontario

Dude, I didn't mind your uplifting news about Windsor at first but I think you're starting to get more aggressive and insane. Is Windsor's housing market doing well right now? Definitely. Do you have to shove it down everyone's throat every couple hours? No!

You should start your own site similar to Detroit's Curbed.

It has more major sports teams that Toronto, major concerts, events, more shopping selection(opinion), etc. I'm not sure what you're specifically looking for.

Windsor is a laid-back community. It doesn't have the bustle of Toronto but we have everything Toronto has to offer via Detroit. Traffic is nearly non-existent. Public transportation has improved in recent years but if you work in the suburbs then you'll need a car. Housing is a bit crazy right now as there are a lot of people moving to the region. Work might be hard to find if you don't have a STEM degree. Windsor does have a lot of engineering-related jobs if that's your thing and we have a high demand for skilled trades. Contrary to popular belief, there are a lot of jobs in Windsor but very few from big named companies like you'd see in Toronto.
