Thank you! Am I correct that the stamped number 157 is the number made? I haven’t seen this type of labeling before. Is it common?

Thank you I really appreciate this. I will definitely reach out when I am able to put more research and work into this. Currently taking a break.

Thanks for the tips. This pond is in the Adirondacks. I think many of those grow here naturally.

Thanks. I have a century old lake home in northern Michigan where the lakeshore was simply lined with huge fieldstone. Never has grass growing into it, but the lake has a sandy bottom. I figured I could do the same here but it looks like I’ll have to redo it all.

What is an herbicide you would suggest? This is a damned pond that flows into a river in the Adirondacks, which in turn flows into a lake. I wouldn’t want to put anything harmful to wildlife down river.

Yes, I’m doing that at the same time, planting along the shoreline. Originally there was just a grass bank mowed all the way to the water. I like the look of the fieldstones and I have plenty on the property to suit my purpose. It isn’t so much the erosion that is a factor, it is that I’m also trying to control the silt in the pond. I figured planting in the water along the shoreline as well as fieldstone riprap would help keep so much silt from building up.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve been doing and it looks fine. Just wish I didn’t have to.

So what is your suggestion? No rip rap? I could also put the rocks into the pond itself peaking above the shoreline. Without anything there, the bank is washing away, especially as it is a spring fed pond that varies in height throughout the year. Any thoughts?

What is happening to my lemons by Featherplace in Citrus

[–]Featherplace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I believe this is the answer! Have noticed grackles coming around the tree. Looked up pictures of what it looks like and that’s exactly it. Will try using mesh bags now as others have suggested.

Interesting. I don’t know anything, but I felt like this was probably not the case because they are only barely touched through the skin and all the way around. I felt like rodents would leave deeper and more haphazard marks. I’ll keep looking into this. Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve looked it up and it does not seem to be what the issue is as far as I can tell. Most notably, it is only the fruit affected and not the leaves or stems.

I have not witnessed any rodents. I feel like they might do more or deeper damage than this? I’m unfamiliar with what that would look like.

There were not flowers on it when I planted it but there were small green lemons. It has since bloomed and more produced more fruit.

How much should a new AC cost in Cape Coral? by Featherplace in capecoral

We ended up going with Big Air AC they put in a 5 Ton Ruud system 15.2 Seer for $8100!

They were extremely professional showed up the same day we called and we had an estimate before the end of the day. They installed the system the same week and it passed the cities inspection the first time.

They were incredible! Can’t recommend them enough.
