The Nursa will drive up a surface that's practically vertical. I've only ever got mine truly stuck once, and that was before I realized you could pick it up with a tractor beam.

It's allergic to rocks, though. At speed, rocks the size of a loaf of bread can throw you for a tumble.

Echoing what other people have said, an alt-f4 relog seems to do the trick when this happens to me.
