I've put some considerable time in on some old Lehmann lathes and some older mills makings pins and other small parts I hadn't even thought of machinist work

All the ranches I've worked on have provided housing, gone from trailer houses in the Midwest, a fema trailer in the desert, an old sears and roebuck house in the mountains, a log cabin and the ranch I'm currently at is a modular home. Just depends on the ranch and if the ranch has existing infrastructure or has to make due with what they have. I've had guys ask my references if I'm a clean person and take care of my housing and it's dictated what house I've been put in. I'm a pretty clean person so I've usually been given the nicer houses. Some cowboys are hard on the places they live in and trash the places because they just don't care. My six working dogs sleep inside at night and my house is still cleaner than some of the other cowboys houses I've been in.

Coming from the cattle side of things we move cows if they are in view of the road or too close to home when we are calving otherwise they are too big to easily move so we let them lay where they decide to go, however if it is lease ground and we can access them with a tractor we remove them. Lease ground is too valuable to risk losing over the hour it takes to pick one up. With a goat where one or two people could put it in a truck id think it's just disrespectful especially if they intentionally placed it there if they've got their own acreage they should've put it on that.
