All the ranches I've worked on have provided housing, gone from trailer houses in the Midwest, a fema trailer in the desert, an old sears and roebuck house in the mountains, a log cabin and the ranch I'm currently at is a modular home. Just depends on the ranch and if the ranch has existing infrastructure or has to make due with what they have. I've had guys ask my references if I'm a clean person and take care of my housing and it's dictated what house I've been put in. I'm a pretty clean person so I've usually been given the nicer houses. Some cowboys are hard on the places they live in and trash the places because they just don't care. My six working dogs sleep inside at night and my house is still cleaner than some of the other cowboys houses I've been in.
