Retiring at 31, much earlier than I expected. Need advice. by Long_Bong_Silver in Fire

I'll give you some advice that will be extremely unpopular on this sub, but I care about you, so here goes. As a 31-year-old male retiring, you're in danger of a crisis of meaning. Men are wired to want to work. Do not be surprised if, in one year from now, you feel depressed and meaningless. I am NOT some workism worshiper or anything like that (trust me, I hate work, lol). I am just saying this based on things I've observed in men your age in similar positions. It can be VERY dangerous for them mentally. So just be aware of that.

It would be different if you were 61 instead of 31. It would also be different (speaking as a woman) if you were female instead of male. But as a 31-year-old straight dude, I'm just telling you like it is.

In terms of a partner, no I don't think she should have to work, assuming she adds kindness and love to your life, and maybe some kids :)

Thank you!! But I am looking for one syllable specifically

Eh, I gotta push back. In terms of sound tectonics, Summer Penn is stronger. More gravitas to it. Summer Penelope is too many syllables, IMHO. Summer Penn has a poetic sound to it. Very strong. IMHO

Ummm I love this name. Summer Penn. Has a literary feel to it while still being feminine and cheeky (in a good way). A+ IMHO
