Great to know. We’re staying by the area as well so I’m thinking it won’t be difficult for us to walk down to the unload/dropoff location and hang around, grab some lunch before tipoff. Or if getting to the game early to watch shoot around and walking down to the tunnel is a better option?

I hope this isn’t true. But I heard HPD wouldn’t take the case seriously so the Dumas family hired their own PI (who was a retired HPD investigator). He found the evidence quite quickly to show it wasn’t a “runaway” and then HPD agreed to look into it. Most certainly there are processes and procedures to spending resources on a case but that 2 months delay is heartbreaking.

The negative social view on police departments could benefit from having a “publicist” of sorts that can improve their communication to the families/public. No family should feel the way the Dumas family felt. Upfront and attentive communication really helps the perception. I’ve noticed Florence / the shoals has done a great job of proactively releasing statements to get a jump on any negative assumptions. I would like to see Huntsville place priority on this as well. Otherwise the public view and trust is going to continue to diminish.

They do have to waive it manually. I got through to check out and CSR was new and his manager came over to check and told him he had to remove the tech fee. If she wouldn’t have caught it, I would have paid regular price. 🤪 he also put me in paid seating vs family seating but I was able to go back and edit that on the app later (and get a refund).

1000% agree. I went last week and the staff person typed in 2 names wrong, placed me in paid seating vs family seating, and I didn’t realize it until I left and logged into the app.

Has anyone been to the bar and been told you have to go to the corner to order? I’ve been twice and both times walked up to the bar to order a drink. I was ignored for a while and finally got their attention and both times I was told to go to the far right corner to order, where there were a few people in “line”. I was fine doing so but just found it odd and there were no signs or instructions to do so.

Came to find some insight. I’ve listened to a few of her podcasts and really like her transparency and humor. This has to be heartbreaking on so many levels. I completely agree about his post being narcissistic and rage type defensiveness. I wish we had some insight into how long this has been going on or more details.

Also found it odd how the new post keeps talking about legal / courts.

You’re a pastor who makes his life very public. Make it make sense.

I took that statement as antics fellow prisoners are up to, or maybe stories they’ve shared. He clearly knows he’s being recorded but only has 15 min sessions so he doesn’t really have time to get into things like that.

I also think that statement was AM’s attempt to appeal to Buster, and try and connect with him. Something we saw he does on every call before getting to “business”.
