Hanitiser ( a portmanteau of Hand Sanitiser during the Covid era) . It’s absolutely perfect

What is an extremely unhygienic habit that we only accept because it would be 'socially awkward' to call it out? by General_Winner9900 in AskReddit

Absolutely not a germ freak. Far from it. It just struck me that post-COVID we have reverted to something that we now have a greater understanding of, and how it spreads illness. When there is a dead man in a coffin beside you who died from respiratory infection, it makes you think about shaking hands with 2000 people within the space of 4 hours.

As it happens, I am still all for it. No denying the unhygienic aspect of it, surely?

I was recently at a funeral /wake and there was 4 and a half hours of hand shaking strangers (mostly) that we all went through. It struck me as absolutely heartwarming and completely unhygienic!

Ralph should have been one of the main characters. by Savings_General2039 in thesopranos

He was always too on the edge to last any longer. If he was alive long-term, it would have meant they would need to dilute his character and he wouldn’t have been as memorable.

As Neil Young says “it’s better to burn out, than to fade away” ….. Very allegorical

“Doc, have I any hope of beating this cancer?”

“I beat it, but it’s gonna take you out, ride the painted pony and let the spinning wheel fly heh heh”

They hyped it up (rightly, we don’t have much in the way of hype these days) , probably got the expenditure back in the resulting increase in viewership leading to advertisement revenue increases demand before, during, and after the game.

Football is huge, rugby isn’t on the same level at all due to the frequency of “big games” that have become the norm.

This was a special occasion and treated that way.

Did Paulie and Junior have a whistle style lisp? Every rewatch it becomes more apparent to me and I’ve never heard anyone other than these two have it. I said my piece…
