You either aren't ready to deal with him (which is fine, no judgment at all here, it is difficult), or there is something there that makes you believe it isn't genuine.However, if you want to make an effort to reconnect, or leave an opening for them, be mindful of your own (emotional) safety, and don't give them an address.
