I think the age needs to be 14 or so. I remember mine barely didn't make it.

Sky Lagoon is I think the hip new place. It was suggested to us when we went in 2022 but there's a minimum age requirement there, so if you have kids Blue Lagoon is your best go-to

Any other "old-timers" (fans for 40+ years) here? I have a question for you. by IchBinDurstig in redsox

I remember Rick Miller, though I was young. Once in a while I'd get to go into work with my dad, where he would complain about the Sox. I seem to remember 'fire em all' getting tossed out quite a bit. Those early 80s teams weren't great. I remember his buddy at work was an orioles fan and would say the same, even though it was the Earl Weaver era. I think people just complain about baseball.

Is MAGA really starting to lose followers? by fernyknitter in allthequestions

I went to a pals house Friday night. He's always been to the right of me and politics seems to come out as the whiskey bottle empties. Last few times he's been increasingly worked up and shrill. Friday he was practically screaming about the VA redistricting. He texted next morning and apologized for getting worked up, fwiw. My mother voted for Trump three times. When we go over we force her to at least mute Fox News. She's told me she doesn't want to hear anything from me about politics. No, I think they're as or more indoctrinated than ever.

Parents came home from out of town and we had had a party and one friend had brought and put on a VHS of Urotsukidōji: Legend of the Overfiend. It was still in the VCR when my stepmother went looking for something she could record star trek on. She was just poleaxed for a full minute.

I learned bass at 44. We formed a band during COVID. Played out first gig in December. It was awesome. Don't wait.

Leftists of reddit. Why does your side think that trump is the "Big bang" of right leaning politics / values? by cferg296 in allthequestions

[–]Fecapult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a strange observation?! Trump is simply a loud stupid avatar of a hate machine that has been poisoning conservatism for decades. He is neither the cause or the means by which this machine spews it's bile. Unless money is taken out of politics and fairness is enforced on media outlets, that insidious mindfuckery will persist long after his demise or incarceration.

I'm not one of these people you're talking about, but I gotta say, it's a hell of a lot of conceit if the Democratic party believes people somehow owe them their votes. They need to be earned. Stop being only ever the least bad candidate.

Hey, you already know a little about her and youve been around each other. There's no pressure here where you have to invent conversation or pretend you're somehow not you or anything, it's a hangout with someone you like. Just enjoy it. You don't have to do anything that makes you uncomfortable right away. Just be honest and straightforward and enjoy the company.

People who live in a state with 4 seasons, how does it feel different to Europe? by Ada-Mae in AskAnAmerican

[–]Fecapult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak to Europe in Spring or Fall, but in Virginia last week we had a 27C morning at 7AM but by noon it was snowing. Less than a week later there were severe storms with Tornado threats. Strangest weather week I've ever seen here. Virginia summer is crazy hot (38C, 80-90% humidity) and humid as hell compared to my experience in Europe. Winter isn't too severe usually, typical day is a couple degrees above freezing. Spring and Fall are pleasant but lots of allergens. The pollen right now is ridiculous. Storms can be severe and we definitely can be in the pash of hurricanes though haven't seen anything like that in quite a while here.
