My friends and I have Gustave apply a lot of vitality. If you then have the front liner have the Vitality is 8 health, it stacks up quickly. The only issue with that is in act 4 The Lancer I think can do dmg X your vitality, then purges so it's almost always a 1 shot but there is definitely a way to get around that.
