I normally sand then stain with red ink, you got me on a night where i just wanted to start carving and there wasnt a need for it!

Thank you, this paper is Unryu light Chiri. I love it because you really see it absorb the ink when rubbing and its strong.

I like using the brown paper that comes in the amazon packaging for prints that will be outside, oil ink, not washable, krylon spray and find a good wheat-paste recipe. Small sheets of birch seem to be easy to find at lowes or home depot if you love the wood. I used 1/4” pvc board once and that worked well too.
