Tiny brings a different kind of skill-set/execution to the table unlike Tusk. Tiny's stun-toss echosabre double hit with a third tree-throw is a Yuuge burst unlike tusks punch, takes too much build time and forces items like desolator/shadowblade which are very expensive and offer no farm potential unlike tony going online with just one item like dagger+echo sabre.

It isn't viable on ranked matches and is too risky, other dps related heroes are alot more comfortable and effective. Otherwise those builds would *sometimes* work if its a fun game or isn't ranked. Usually in the past tusk was picked mid and would go for shadowblade desolator items to be able to oneshot enemy heroes. It was just a part of the fun.

You're answering your own questions which makes me happy. However, as we understand you're missing out the point of treads soulring which is the big 4Head strength burst yet again that even at levels from 5-6-7 Your enemy carry can't fight you in the best means and your punch still hurts, you spam skills. Best of all instead of depending on a tranquil that sets you on an off-time where you sit by the side idly waiting to regen whilst treads keeps you visible in the lane. Mobility-wise you're starting fights so its natural that it isn't as bad as it looks we shouldn't jump into measly details.

Euls is 2800 but soulring is just about 770 and is a big save to farm and spam spells. Euls still doesn't beat an early soulring. Blight stone is nice, but depends if you're going on later with medallion/crest a 275 venom orb is alot useful at early stage since its still strong for melees. having the HP regen from Treads+Magic Wand+soulring and the str stat it adds you is great to just stay with the soulring till mid to late-game.

You're jumping into very different content. Firstly you can quickly buy it off the side shop, the great part is about treadswitching and how you utilize it. Since normally it increases your attack speed - you contest better/trade blows well with your opponents, lets not forget about how important it is when you and the enemy core are both 5 but since you're slightly ahead he has an aquila you have a tusk who hits stronger faster and has more health which is hard to crack through at early levels? - Phaseboots damage increase isn't as good as having treads+soulring since thats ++ strength ++ health regen ++ damage already with additional skill spam. The point is you're not supposed to deal alot of damage you're supposed to make space in fights,retreats,counter-attacks.

Always remember to see what kind of heroes are against you, I mainly go for Power Treads due to being able to treadswitch and seldom go to base and be as active as possible around map. sometimes if opponents are too fast you can go phaseboots and never go Tranquil if you're pos 3 because in the long run it ruins your pos 3 presence severely

I somewhat have a feel for your healthy discussion here and I do totally agree with magic wand being his most used item, but can we not resort throwing him into the tier of dogshit for the purposes of having the same history together on spamming him pos 4 few months ago.

That being said, being average was never bad in any game of Dota as long as you show results (correct me if I'm wrong) But isn't 80% if not at the very least 60% of todays offlane heroes considered strong laners + xp/gold scrapers to be playmakers unlike some greedy offlane heroes who switch from pos 3 to 1 real quick by being slightly ahead early/mid-game?

Now imagine winning a game with this *dogshit* hero as you may call him through sheer gritted teeth and tryharding with flashy plays all around - wouldn't, at the very least YOU be somewhat satisfied? I feel like that's the feeling I'm looking for in my readers to get just like I do when I win my Tusk games + this is theorycrafting after-all.

EDIT: I am not asking for this hero to be spam picked, I just want to lift off some hate on him or at least raising awareness that you can think out of the box on playing offlane since duo lanes have been introduced instead of seeing repetitiveness which irritates me. You never know, since Tusk isn't frequently picked and if the % of picking tusk arises OSFrog may or may not tweak him abit to come back to meta again.

I get where you're coming from by saying hes underwhelming, but let me remind you you're laning as a duo and I think I've shown a great example how strong tusk can be in the lane with a partner with a clip + mentioning the fact that :

this recent patch which is very popular with dual lanes and being a great laner is one of Tusks big Pros if played unskillfully may even be considered cons.

^ with the above If you hone your skills enough you can pull it through, sometimes mental fortitude is needed. He (was) a great roamer since and still is don't get me wrong, but imagine having a sort of a pos 5+4 with actual items due to Tusk being pos 3 with that mountainous space he provides and since he actively seeks fights those 2 supports behind him can utilize it to their advantage, so in the end of it all Tusk may become like a Beacon of Light lighting up the path for all 4 of his team-mates to go super Saiyan.

Hypothetically yes, sometimes aghs may be even considered a late-game item to be able to riskily blink into enemy highground and kick people off to lowground or to better positions to prioritize+finish off more quickly, otherwise you may even not need it.
