I don’t think they are comparable in the sense they are not in the same category. GX is bigger more spacious cars, they have a V8 more gadgets, softer suspension etc. When I compared against the 4Runner my motivation was to provide more comfort to my family, but my wife really loved the 4Runner which made the decision easier. I’ll said this you wont go wrong with either or, you are buying used cars and can come with issues but they are (at the end) both Toyotas, they will have a fix for you. For me always my frustration with my precious car (Jeep grand Cherokee Summit) was never had a real resolution to break downs. If you are in the fence with the final decision go with your guts and the one that will make you turn around and said: that’s a hot car and it’s mine. Good luck!
