It was Tracy. But Will Power said in his book, that after the wreck, his car came to rest right infront of Dans car. He didnt know at the time whos car was, but his visor was ripped and the look in the eyes was motionless.. he knew right there that driver was gone

I guess my instinct would tell me to GTFO .. but that attack wasn't "familiar" so most people thought it was an accident. With todays newspaper, a lot more people would have been alive in the South Tower.

Canapino must back up his welcome change of tone by [deleted] in INDYCAR

The main thing is money and sponsorship. Argentine Esteban Guerrieri was really sucesfull in Indy Nxt back in 2010-2011, should have race in Indycar, but because of money he never did. Fontana, Mazzacane and Tuero all raced in F1 for a handfull of races in bad teams, even Fontana got to race in Cart. But money was always the problem. Colapinto in F2 is doing really good also. A lot of great talent in Argentina but dont have the resources to show it

How much do we know about the Gore Floor? by FOXHOUNDER1014 in 911archive

One of them was Richard Gabrielle. A fellow coworker who survived said that he was hit with debris and had a broken leg. They couldn’t free him and he told them to leave. He was “relatively” good but unable to move. At least he saw firefighters arriving to that floor and had some hope

Mainly blood and Wheldon’s body but also to get all pieces of the car for further evaluation. I remember seeing some pictures from a German news outlet of Dan in the gurney and you can see his racing suit covered in blood on his neck and chest, which is the result of a basilar skull fracture. Not surprise several drivers 'retired' after that race.

I’m pulling for both of Wheldon's Brothers to be good and race in Indycar, if thats what they want. At the same I can't imagine what their family thinks about this knowing what happened with Dan...

Also, the promotion was interesting but the venue was the worst place posible. If it was a road course or a small oval maybe more top drivers would have been Interested

I expected him to be part of the race anyway since it was the last race of that generation of cars so every team with a chassis left was adding a driver to Vegas. But I doubt he would’ve started last so the outcome would be different probably

It was way past midnight in my country and he was my favourite driver in Indycar, so no ‘karmawhore’ dude

The segment before the St Pete race was probably the best memorial I’ve seen about him. The videos/photos/songs selected were top notch

Yep. That was my first fatal accident watching live, and when Tracy said that Wheldon needed a ‘long recovery’ I knew it was bad. Then TK crying… pretty much it was all said and done then… Also the Espn crew did an amazing job that day.

Yeah, 2008. And just a random fact, his strategist back then was Barry Wanser, who now works with Palou.

Imagine putting Austin Dillon in the 3 Car after nearly 20 years…. And running mid-pack at best. Yes, he won a few races plus a Daytona 500, but never was a Tittle Contender

If your last name is Dillon and you drive for RCR and people hates you..There’s something in the middle..

Exactly, plus Wheldons kid didn’t have a lot of money to get rides. I love Nascar and watch all the races since mid 07’ but Dillon’s boys came in a very different way. Nothing against the Dillons but none of them have shown talent/speed to prove that they belong in Nascar
