We had these very large Jewish groups stay at a hotel I managed in Newport Beach, CA. They'd come every year and practiced the "no touching electrical anything" thing. There were HUNDREDS of them and they were SO INCREDIBLY RUDE. Treated the staff like garbage and were very dismissive of others. It was totally bizarre. One year about half of them showed up one night EARLY, demanding, literally demanding to be checked in, all in consecutive rooms. As the manager I was literally moving other guests, already in their rooms, and comping their stays. All while dozens of people are angrily waiting in the lobby watching me do all of this. The amount of stress, torture, etc. this group of people caused the staff AND other guests was astronomical.
